Total, 318,537 cars may house a software problem that causes the rearview image to remain on the infotainment screen after the driver shifts out of reverse. Vehicles affected include the 2019-2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee, Wrangler, Renegade, Ram 1500, 2500 and 2500 pickups, Dodge Durango and Chrysler Pacifica. Certain 2020 Jeep Gladiator and Cherokee models are also included, are some 2019 Dodge Challenger models.

I have not had the issue with mine. Once it did get all weird and green/distorted with lines but the problem was not reproducible

I see that you have to have the 8.4” screen for this to be an issue.

Saw the recall applied to mine yesterday, so I decided to ask the dealership about it when we went to pick up my wife’s Durango from some warranty work. They said it was a quick flash that takes 30 minutes. Ended up leaving it while picking up a pizza and a couple things from the grocery store, was outside and done when we got back. Didn’t notice anything except my radio Color scheme/theme was on a different one than before, and I had to set it back, otherwise seems to function as before.

I just had the recall done and it fixes the back up camera brightness at night. It does not scale with the dial but does get noticibly dimmer when you lower the gauge cluster brightness 1 notch down from the brightest. Also, the back up camera is a gladiator now. Recall is w35

If you have the 8.4 you can make an appointment, they should be able to pull it up in the computer and push it. They did not see it on the ipad, they had to do a vin search on the computer to find it.

I got mine done last Friday but hadn’t noticed the dimming or the icon change. I’ll have to check it out again in the morning.

So I went out today and confirmed both of these post recall. It's not a ton, but there is noticeable dimming of the backup camera screen with the headlights on. The Gladiator icons in place of the Ram ones are a nice touch too.
