Is anyone running 17x8.5 wheels with a +6 offset? I want to run those with 37 1250s and want to see if it worked for anyone.

Here are some JK AEV Borah wheels on a JL Rubicon. They are 17x8.5 and +4. I don’t think the 2mm difference would be noticeable.

there shouldn’t be issues with a +6 offset that size.

if you get slight rub on control arm it's pretty easy to pop a washer or two under the steering stops, you won't need more than that worst case to run that offset on your sport s

i'm running 37's on a sport s with +32 offset and i needed 4-5 washers under each steering stop to stop the rub on control arms, i would bet you don't need anything at all with +6 offset, probably be fine up to +18

With a Rubicon you can run 37s on wheels up to +30 (per Discount Tire), without rubbing control arms. I have a friend with a Rubicon who has +25 AEV Borahs on his with 37" KO2:

ya it'll be awful close to rub, the 37 ko2's run notoriously short so they will be a 37" tire least likely to rub, and the rubicon/max tow axles already 1/2" wider either side which is essentially 12mm advantage over the sports to begin with

So that means no 37's on factory wheels or is that just a small shim the steering stop issue?

Or is that Discount Tire just being their over conservative self? I know the one near my old shop years ago wouldn't mount anything that wasn't within tire/wheel manufacturer spec so if the tire said 7.5-10 inches, they would not mount on a 7" wheel.
