Manual or auto? I'm planning for the future (likely a couple years out at least) and wouldn't mind 37s if I don't need to regear. 33s already bog the manual in 5th and 6th but I know how to downshift so NBD as long as 1-4 still put power down.

Also I have added a Pedal Commander unit to the vehicle and don't have any issues pulling the 37s. In fact the torque off the line sometimes chirps the tires unexpectedly

37x11.5x18 Ridge Grapplers w/ 2" Mopar lift & 1.5" wheel spacers. I also added the Rubicon high clearance fender flares. I just loved the look of the stock rims and couldn't bring myself to part with them.

Are the rear fender flares different on the rubicon vs the rest or did you only have to replace the fronts?

Yup, they have a kink in them and are about 1" wider and 1/2 to 3/4" higher. Where the regular flares just slope down and away from the bed, the Rubicon flares slope up from the bed, peak and then slope down and away.

Same here, but I have the iDrive unit. Made a HUGE difference in low-end performance with the stock 4.10 gears and 37's, once I installed the Tazer JL Mini to recalibrate for 37's.

So what would you do if you wanted 37s on a manual rubicon? Would that pedal commander work?

hey what size/offeset are those rims? I dig them. Can you send a picture from the front to see how much they stick out past the fenders?

It is the Mopar Performance wheels 17x8.5 with a 12 mm offset.

In reality it’s not that much more expensive to buy after market wheels, I decided to stick with the stock wheels, I like the OEM look, I really do. There are some bad ass wheels, especially the fuels, I really didn’t want to go crazy with that look, I think OEM keeps it looking classy. I bought 285/75r18 duratracs (these are 35” but like 11.25” wide not 12.5” wide). 285 is stock Rubicon width, the 35” gives a more aggressive look and adds a little height to the truck. I decided to get the 2” mopar lift (should have all installed by the end of next week). You can find pictures of overlands with 285/75r18 with lift and without, IMO the non lifted trucks with that tire have a bit of a “stuffed” wheel well look, I think the lift looks better but many running these tires without a lift and without rubbing (at least on pavement).

I picked the tires I did because they are relatively light for E rated tires. Keep in mind the overland has 3.73 gears, you don’t want enormously Heavy tires turning the truck into a slug.

Thing is looking SICK!!!
Oh no no no, of course not... Remember, 20's look stupid on Jeeps... It's only good for mall-crawling and letting my woman drive to the hair salon. ;)

:CWL::CWL::CWL:

Seriously though... Thanks man! :like:
