If we can't order a 2020 Gladiator, TAKE DOWN THE 2020 BUILD & PRICE TOOL!
So excited about designing and ordering my new JT- countless hours online, cruising forums, digging up photos, and changing options in the build tool. Finally have my dream truck and I'm ready... call dealer... Nope!! All a total waste of time. Multiple must includes or not available withs. Dealer shows me what he says is closest he can order and IMO it doesn't even resemble what I want.
Appears some of the options I want may not be available at all on the 2021. Guess my only option is to search for a similar truck on the lot... Oh, Hey, Go figure; Search New Inventory tool just as worthless; find one that looks promising, go to dealer site, options different.
Really kills my enthusiasm for getting this truck.

Orrrrrrrr.....use the current Order Guide and do the homework yourself and come up with the exact configuration you are looking for? Most manufacturers leave builders up on their website while they are trying to move current inventory for the remainder of the model year. If I were a consumer seeking out a 2021 at this point, there are ZERO available because none have been built yet. Thus, I would build it and seek out a dealer and be pissed that NONE exist yet in the US. Instead, using the builder right now shows you what's actually available for most dealers around the country.

Build a spreadsheet, download the August 2021 order guide, follow the codes carefully and you'll come up with everything you're looking for.

Oooook.... still makes no sense to me. The only build tool (not buy tool) available is for 2020 model, only model they will build for you right now is 2021.
Also, your example seems to ignore my second point: the search new inventory function is so completely inaccurate to the point of intentionally misleading. Try "building" something and search new inventory. After being roped in by the "13 of 15" options match, you'll eventually discover under vehicle details (or maybe only once they have you at the dealers' site) that the truck does not have your options...
As I said... waste of time

Or maybe they should have their site done correctly for the consumer and future customer? Believe it or not, lots of people out their don't live in the forums.

Believe it or not, people come to Internet forums to complain about things that are completely normal in the automotive world though, don’t they?

Ordering a Jeep is far less common than you think. Also, going to a dealer and buying from inventory is far more common and profitable than you think.

This “problem” you’ve come up with is not unique to Jeep and is standard across almost all makes while they’re still moving current available inventory. You’ll get used to it..

I frequent the forum often as I'm an enthusiast. So their build function is not something I use. But I do see it as a problem since it's not working as it's supposed to be. It's not an imaginary problem. When something doesn't function like it's supposed to, I'd call that problem. Maybe that's just me.
