So...I have a 2020 JT Rubicon with the upgraded 8.4 head unit. For some reason I have decent FM reception but almost zero AM reception. In the middle of Vancouver/Burnaby where I commute I can't get a single station...just static noise or sometimes a hint of a signal. Any other radio would have 100% reception in this area.

It seems weird to me that the FM would be fine and just the AM is a problem. I thought I would post here first before ripping things apart looking for a poor connection. That said, if there was a bad connection you would think the FM signal would be bad too. I've only had the Jeep for 2 weeks...so obviously still under warranty but wondering if anyone else has had this issue?

Go to the dealer... a.m. signals rely on the internal ground connection between the radio tuner inside and the actual radio chassis.
Good luck sir.

I have this problem
My dealer ordered a new cable that connects the antenna to the stereo head, it should be here next week.
Now that I've played with it more, the FM wasn't as good as it should be either.

So, turns out the problem was the 90 degree connector where the antenna connection comes through the side of the jeep and connects to the cable. This was replaced and now my radio works fine.
