A couple months ago I started getting knocks under load (going up hill) at low RPMs. I fed the jeep some 93 octane and that seemed to help, or maybe it was just because I ran out a tank of not so good 87. Next time I got gas I filled it with 89. So far knocks have gone away. This morning I'm near empty and will fill it with 87 and see what happens.

Have you gone through a tank yet and refilled, to rule out the possibility of bad gas?
So I did run out the tank of cheap gas and ran through 3/4 of a tank of TT fuel and the ping is still there. For the most part I don't notice it but there is this one road with a concrete wall on one side so I can hear the engine really well. It's a slight incline and I'm cruising at around 30mph, 4th gear and 2000 - 2300 rpm. If I feather the gas there is a slight ticking or ping, If I give it more gas it up shifts and is fine. I'm going to give it some hight octane this fill up and test that in the same spot and bring this up with the dealer when I take it in for the air leak in my door weatherstrip.

Run it awhile on TT gas, as in 4 or 5 tanks. Give it a few Italian tune-ups along the way. Pentastars benefit from being pushed hard. It really comes alive above 4500 rpm, so get it there a number of times. Then let's see if that ping hangs around.

Thanks @DanW I'll do that. Should I go to a midrange or premium or stick with the regular fuel? I live in the hills so I rarely find myself in that floaty spot where the ping happens, I'm usually burning up a good incline or doing 70 in the highway without hesitation ;-) you know I have to ask.... What's an Italian tune-up?

If there is any carbon buildup, a tank of premium from a major brand, like She'll V-power, can speed the cleanup. I'm not saying that's the actual issue, but this fuel exercise is to identify or eliminate that possibility. If it works, then just run regular Top Tier from there onward. If not, then my next step would be the dealership service dept to look for a technical service bulletin on it.

Ok so I'm having some serious spark knock issues. Of course it's at its worst when I run reg fuel. I seen a video about Ripped upgraded coils and how much they help with ignition, but is anyone else having this issue?
Just had my 2020 Overland in the show yesterday for what I thought was a lifter knocking on driver side. Come to find out that I have a spark knock due to the engine being starved of oil. The culprit is the VVT and the seal. The motor will need to be taken apart and have the entire engine cleaned then put back together, It is a 11 hour job. All covered under warranty. The parts are going to take about a month to come in but have my Jeep back in the meantime. My Jeep dealer was on point and very helpful. Won’t say they are all like this but mine is on top of things.

My Mojave is in the shop for this TSB but they are refusing to cover it. Instead they are trying to charge me for new spark plugs and a new PCV. I'm at 59,333 miles.
