I didn't want to post in a specific engine forum, because my questions is about which engine will suit me best.

Generally I believe the gas engine will best suit me, but here's how the gladiator will mostly be used.

I go to the range 3-5 times a week. I pull a trailer with a Polairs 900 s x s. I'm thinking with this much pulling it might be best to get the diesel. Any thoughts positive or negative.

Is this Diesel engine a proven product? Has it been used in other vehicles, or is this it's first deployment?

IMO the gas engine is well proven and reliable, the diesel is a novelty, can’t tow or haul as much as the gas and is infinitely more complicated, more expensive and less reliable.

That doesn't sound good. Thank you for the input. Good stuff.

Average trip length is also a factor. If you do a lot of short trips, most people say a diesel isn't really suited for that.
