Well my "JT" MPG reads that I get around 23 + MPG normally, but I know that the speed is off 1 mile faster than actual speed. I'm on a short trip with my trailer and 4wheeler mpg took a big hit I-State speed pulling it down to about 16.2 MPG not factoring in odometer /speedometer being off a mile. Not quite as bad as some here just lifting and larger tire. I didn't take that much of MPG loss with my 4.0 Jeeps pulling a trailer unless it was close to max load.
A strange thing is the odometer reading normally about dead on with GPS distance just the speed reads faster than actual speed.
MAYBE you are seeing the same thing I see - are you going by the analog gauge on the right, or the digital readout in the middle?
When I have my GPS and the cluster digital readout at exactly 55 - the analog dial ready 56 - even accounting for the parallax effect.
Always - analog on the right reads 1 mile over the cluster digital display.

Brand new JTR with hard tonneau. Only one tank of gas thru her and 3/4 of that was driving home from dealership a few states away. Speed on interstate range from 60 to 85 mph, mostly about 80. Based on miles driven and fill up my MPG was 16.97. Hope that improves a little after break-in.

Watching both digital most, and I use cruz control most of the time..... To keep it at speed limits ;) or few under, at 70 the mpg dropped further down after about 60-80 miles I dropped speed back to about 66-67 mph to get back up to 16 mpg.

70+ is a MPG KILLER on these. If you want more mpg - you're not going to get it at 80 mph.
They do get better - typically 3,000-7,000 miles most see some improvement.
Of course winter months will drop it down in some locations.

Yeah I figured that but just wanted to get home, it was a long day.
Good to know 70 is the magic number for MPG drop off.
Thanks

Lol 13 city 16 to 18 hyway. But I'm on 35s with a 4.5 lift, and a bit of a lead foot lmao. Not concerned about milage though since it sits at work 20 days in a stretch and only driven 10 days when home.

My overland stock on AT wheels is getting 21-22 consistantly. The onboard reader is right on too. Every time ive calculated by hand its been dead on.

Same as all my previous Jeeps: I get to 1/4 tank, then start looking for a gas station!:CWL:

Average mpg readout has been around 16 without resetting in a month. City driving and wheeling involved. I have not recalibrated for the larger 35" tires yet either, so it may be slightly better.

Sport S, stock drivetrain.
First 2000-mile trip through Montana & Wyoming at ~85 mph I averaged 17.4 mpg.
I added a Truxedo LoPro, and running about 75 the average has snuck up to 20.4 over the next 2000 miles. I haven't reset the average MPG reading since I started the Montana/Wyoming trip, and I'm a little over 4000 miles total.
