Picked the President Bill CB radio for my Gladiator to attack the challenge of limited room head on.
As you can see by the pictures, it is a very compact fully functioning CB.

It comes with two different installation brackets. I used the full bracket pictured above.
I purchased a Red Wolf "cheater" harness that plugs in behind the 12V socket.

Next, time to get into the dashboard. There are enough details on how to do that in these forums, so i'm just showing the quick pic showing where I ran the wire.

And the final install....

The wife insists the radio is not in her way. I tend to agree. I still have to run the antenna wire and mount the mic. What do you think?

I might just to get something in there quick, but I really don't like how it looks. I may change my mind once I have one in place. I think i may end up mounting it near the CB on the same panel. Still up in the air on this topic.

Also, I do have a firestik I'm about to mount. I'm waiting on a specific mounting bracket that will work just right with the Sports Bar I have installed. I'll post more pictures of the rest of these on the same thread.

Finally getting to post final photos on this. I elected to go with a short firestik for in-town and close proximity communication. I'll see how that works out for now.

For the Mic holder, I elected for a magnetic mount. It seemed to take up less room and looked cleaner in my opinion.

You should have went with a GRMS radio, CB is slowly being phased out.

I don't disagree. However, it seems the local clubs and some of my jeep friends are still messing around with CB's. I do have some handheld GRMS radios from my hunting days. I'll see how it works out.
