base Sport- locking the tailgate

Hmm. That's odd. My 2020 (delivered June) base sport is key lockable. What model year is your truck?

I didn't know they made a JT that had a tailgate that wasn't lockable. I got a Base Sport and mines lockable. Mines a 2020 model year.

Take it to the dealership

I thought that was standard. Every JT that I've seen had a key hole next to the tail gate latch.

Thanks for all the replies. Yeah, it has a key hole but the key won't lock it. Mine is 2021. Yes, gotta take it to a dealer.

I don't want to mess with it right now since it's still under warranty for another 35, 800 miles. LOL. Yes, manual d and w. Got an appt in February and they will provide free car rental.
