My wife and I have done a no holds bar kitchen remodel. Evidently there is like a nation wide shortage of new refrigerators especially the priceier models evidently. Well we ordered back in October and kitchen has been finished for two weeks, and there was still no word when the fridge would show up. So I went a researching.after a couple hours I found the the higher end version of the model we ordered in a warehouse two hours away. My guess is it is a bit rediculously priced for a freestanding fridge and thus why it sat, but none the less right color and brand, at this point we wanted kitchen done.

Well the warehouse guy normal is not allowed to fork stuff into trucks but we both looked at the fridge and my lifted truck, I said I can be quick about it and not another word was spoken I backed uner the fork truck. He honked I stopped, he dropped it in I pulled out. Then I pulled to a corner of the lot and began strapping it down. I was pretty convinced I just wasted a ton of money cause I was gonna die on the way home. The fridge looked huge in the truck and Chicago traffic can be nuts. I took it real slow at first , but as the miles went the truck proved itself. It was not squatting and it handled like there was not a 6 foot verticle 500 lb weight in the back. The suspension did great soaking up the bumps and keeping my nerves in check. Made it all the way home. No incidents and even got the fridge installed. Take this truck for any load pickup!

I'm guessing the taking the fridge out of the Jeep was not as easy as getting in in.
How did you do it? We may need a new fridge soon. That is a nice one!

We laid the fridge down in the bed and then slide it out onto my ATV jack lol. No pics sorry. Rest assured it was sketchy as hell!

Thats pretty cool even with the jack unloading must have felt so nerve racking. The height of the gladiator makes unloading hard at times. This reminds me of the time I got a fridge that size home with a mini-van. Used a trailer but still laugh thinking back on what people on the road must have thought.

The first couple corners I was scared to turn. I thoight either the straps would somehow fail or that much weight up high would just flip it over. After a while I realized even though it looked odd it was actually pretty secure. I never went over 60 on the way home just incase. Tell you what. Huge difference in gas mileage. I had cruise on 77 on the way up and got 13.8 mpg. On the way home less than 60 no cruise. 18.5. areodynamics are a drag lol!

There are time when a little clinching of the ass cheeks coupled with an equal part of common sense get's the job done....
