Anyone replaced their stock steering stabilizer shock with a noticeable improvement from an after market shock . Thinking of replacing my stock one after putting a Fabtech 2 inch sport lift and adding 37's if needed.

Was shopping around for the Fox 985-02-127, 2.0 Thru-shaft steering damper, but they are back order everywhere (likely because many of the Fox internals are supplied by Bilstein and they have been hit hard by Covid) so parts are not getting Stateside quickly enough. Wanted the Fox so as to have a match with the rest of the Fox components on the Mo', and also to mitigate the tendency for the stock damper that always wants to extend and causes some pulling to the right. The Fox is a thru-shaft design that balances the forces on either side of the shaft.

I put on the Fox TS last weekend, I noticed an improvement, JT stays straight better on the highway with less input. I wanted the Fox so it matched my shocks as well.
I paid $290 from a good seller on eBay. They are available but some sellers are jacking the price to $320 just have to look around.

Mac, you've been luckier than I in finding a Fox TS! I'll take a look around Ebay one more time to see if I can grab one.

How does the Fox version compare to the AEV Option? Anyone spent time driving both?

No idea on driving differences but I have had 5100s before and they have steel bodies vs aluminum in the Fox, so the corrode and look bad pretty quickly if you live in an area where they use salt in the roads.

Good to know. AEV is steel then since they use Bilstien?

I put the fox ats in and have noticed a much smoother and controlled drive with significant reduction in the little steering wheel shakes on pavement

I bought a teraflex falcon 2.2 stabilizer, expensive but effective, I run it on the med setting, I also added a yeti xd track bar, the combination took most of the wonder out of the steering and I noticed significant less unsettled sway on uneven pavement, which I suspect is the yeti helping the sway bar that thing is super beefy.

How do you like your Fabtech 2ā€ Sport lift?! I ordered the 2ā€ trail lift suspension but haven’t really found much info on what people think on the Fabtech lifts for the gladiator. Any feedback is much appreciated.

Forgive me because it’s late and I’m having difficulty seeing this. The track bar is fixing the side to side motion left and right. So one end of the shock is ā€œfixedā€. When it’s extending wouldn’t it be pushing left causing the leftward pressure on the tie rod causing a pull to the left???

Any updates on your suspension from Fabtech?
