Road Armor Winch

I’m curious if anyone has experience with these winches? I have an opportunity to get a brand new one for an extremely good price. Admittedly I don’t know much about winches in general so any info would be much appreciated.

Looks like the Smittybilt I just bought for $700 from 4WP in the store(!!!). If you can get a great deal on it, why not? For $888 though, yeah, no.

I don’t know anything about them either, but I find it odd that it’s a made-in-the-USA winch yet nobody is talking about it. And how can they get it down to that price with American labor? It rivals a Warn built in China. And it doesn’t look like a rebadge so what is it? I just don’t k ow.

What I’m hearing is that it uses the same planetary gears as the Warn Zeon. I have no proof if that is true. I’m getting it for $500 which seems like a great deal. Hell, if I don’t like it I’ll put it on my sons TJ. ?

I agree completely. I can’t find any reviews on the google machine or YouTube. Weird.

I got this winch installed and I have to say it seems extremely nice. I know Road Armor is having some crazy deals on bumper/winch combos right now.

Their warranty is very vague and I see no time terms other than powder coat.

1 year limited warranty. I'm not sure how the other brands compare.

Looks like other manufacturers have better warranties for sure. I bought this one for dirt cheap off a friend so my warranty would be voided no matter the manufacturer.
