I just put my deposit down on a 2021 sport. the last jeep I had was a 2007 junlimited sport and before that I had my 2000 tj sport. I had a Ford F-150 in between which I just sold. The plan was to buy a Ford bronco but it is still at least 2 years away. I bought this as a every other day vehicle dad / fishing camping mobile. Super basic again. With 10,000 to add to it what have you found to be best additions for the money?

I love my JTR so much, for me to get rid of it for something else it would have to be free. JTR is paid off and more than less accessorized to my liking. Have my 35"s, contemplating a 2" MOPAR lift. Don't think I need it, but do think it would be cool. Then I may want 37"s. Then I would need regear. So maybe just stay as is.

For me... the best mods so far have been use and some fun personalization ones (no lifts yet)

use stuff:
mud flaps (jt throws everything up the sides, but looks great doing it)
Hard fold bed cover (went with one that has the struts to hold it open, use that feature often)
Bed tie downs in bed rail bolt locations
Pressure treated 2x4s cut for the bed so I can haul plywood (i actually have and do, do that)

looks:
Willys decal on dash
US Flags on cowl

there is a thread on this forum “what did you do TO your Gladiator today” that has a lot of good ideas, long but fun read even if some of them aren’t for you

We looked at the rubicon and Mojave models they were all priced at 51 -58k ... they were nice but lots of extras I did not want to pay for. Owning Jeep’s in the past I prefer to keep them basic and utilitarian. Love that it doesn’t even have power windows. Thinking about an improved mopar or aev 2-3 inch lift and going up to 35s - I’m getting too old to change a tire bigger then that. bumpers, step rails... regear?

Imho, I’d buy a Rubi or Mojave, throw some 35’s on either and be done, might get away with spending less then your additional 10,000 budget.
THIS. lift and 35's. Get good tires like Nitto Ridge Grapplers that ride good

Absolutely - know I want the 37s - but my better sense will be happy enough with 35s.

Step rails = not really considering off roading, then 35's and done. Which is fine, no regear required.

Thanks at DankjeeP - does any manufacture still make rails like my old AEVs that were riveted to the side of the tub?
