Lol this thread is great. While I love my Max Tow, I never thought to seriously compare it to a Rubicon/Mojave in an off-road measure. Those two trims are clear upgrades UNLESS you actually tow a lot and tow very often.

All of our rigs are super capable but the Rubicon is a clear cut step above. Lockers and 4:1 transfer case, resulting in 77.2:1 crawl ratio is a big upgrade for those serious off-roaders.

For rock crawling... yes the JTR is a clear step above. But who really gets a truck to do serious rock crawling?

In regard to max tow, it’s not just about max towing, it’s also about having a payload above 1580. The 7650 towing and 1583 payload is nice for people like me who have a big ass camper, who go 4-5 times a year and don’t drive too far. Can actually do it within legal limits.

I don’t think anyone bought a JT as a tow truck, to tow a lot, often....

I always love it when people feel entitled to admit they know more than everyone else. And that what they have is bigger and better than everyone else’s. You are in the right place for this.

Work smarter, so you work less. Then you won’t have to work harder.

The quiet ones in the room usually are the smartest because they listen to what everyone else has to say. The ones that say the most, the question is what they are trying to prove?

what exactly bothers you? that i correct the bad information that i can demonstrably show is incorrect? That i put up detailed information? Or just that i know more than you do, likely because ive been doing it longer?

all i do is share information. What people do with it is up to them. And im constantly learning. Im far from the only person who knows a lot here.

ah. Thats what i figured. The little brother syndrome.

kidding. The ”max tow” seems like a good way to go in all honesty. Just didnt understand why everyone with it calls it a max tow like rubi or mojave folks do, but it makes more sense now. especially on the tech threads.

i dont see why you cant. There are nice features to the others, but the nice feature of the max tow is what you gey and the pricepoint you get it at, andthat aint nothing.
