What do they mean by that? Can you elaborate if you don't mind?
They wanted me to stay inside the car until the dashboard lights had went out. I did exactly that and uninstalled the factory radio. Reinstalled and had the same issue. I decided to go one step further and decided to reinstall the factory radio and then I disconnected the battery. I also made sure that I disconnected the AUX battery. I then removed the factory radio and reinstalled the Stinger. I drove it for about 30 min when my Auto Start/Stop light came on but my check engine light stayed off. I checked the vehicle info tab and it showed a check engine light and the DTC 127 error code. I am at a complete loss at this point. PAC has me taking pictures of everything and sending it to them. Hoping this can be resolved soon.

Reading about what can and will go wrong... Exactly why I don't fool around with this crap. I will be content with my big 7". If it were true plug and play? Hell yeah! Upgrade Bitches!!!

I know I would loose control and ram a Philips Head through the new screen.

Jumping back in to offer my assistance with any questions!
If you use a Tazer, it is recommended that this be removed prior to beginning installation. The Tazer and Tazer Mini will not work in conjunction with the HEIGH10 integrated system. The Tazer Lite seems to be fine.
The HEIGH10 is a plug-and-play radio upgrade in regards to no cutting of wires or vehicle modifications needed. We offer step-by-step installation guides and videos to ensure a proper install. When using multiple aftermarket devices, it is possible that they will not talk together properly, so be mindful of this as you continue to modify your Jeep.
Disconnecting the battery before disconnecting and reconnecting the factory Uconnect radio would likely have prevented the Tazer issue. We are happy to help anytime! Feel free to send a private message if preferred.

IF both the Main and Aux battery are disconnected prior to the install of the Heigh10, then how is the Tazer JL Mini sitting there powerless impacting the install? UConnect is also out of the picture with all 12v power disconnected.

Are you saying that the Tazer JL Mini and the Heigh10 cannot be run concurrently on the JL? So guys/gals with a Tazer JL Mini should not install a Heigh10 as they will not play, lets say together?
Pepe,

I see your concern. Feel free to give us a call with any concerns prior to purchasing.
We have been digging into this and found that the Tazer Lite works just fine with the integration modules in our kit. The Tazer and Tazer Mini may not work as desired.

The Tazer is not one of our products, so I am unable to tell you why it does certain things. However, these issues were from disconnecting and reconnecting the factory uconnect radio with the Tazer interferring with that connection. Nothing to do with communicating with the HEIGH10 that was never fully installed (only a USB wire ran). Again, this issue was not from the HEIGH10. The HEIGH10 was never installed.

I find fault with the Heigh10 instructions and the outfit Stinger, selling it, that this info about Tazer JL compatibility is not mentioned in advertising, instructions or in their install video.

Tazer JL has been out there for 3 years and many many JL / JT owner's have one installed. New kid on the block, Heigh10 should have been designed to work with the Tazer JL...
Completely disagree, following that 'logic' Stinger would have to monitor Tazer (and I suspect ALL similar aftermarket products) and modify their firmware everytime Tazer (and others) did. Absolutely unrealistic and unmanageable.

I had the 7" and wasn't impressed. Yes, the Heigh10 is pretty much plug and play - just lots of plugs ?. Like anything else, the 1% of problem installs are the ones you hear about. If you can't handle the install, try your local auto sound shop, I'm sure most would be happy to do an install for you.

@mike921921

I hear you and yes agree to a point.... but ...

Stinger needs to be more upfront in their instructions, their install video and here on this forum and on the JL Wrangler forum that their Heigh 10 unit will not co-exist with the Tazer JL that many many JL/JT owner's have installed. Stinger gives no warning in regard to compatibility issues of any kind in their instr. of their install video...

The word is out now..... word travels fast on the forums and on FB.
I agree about install notes/warnings/etc. - after proper in house validation. Significant resources can be expended on chasing the odd complaint from a forum posting.

You can see by the quote above by the Stinger rep that they have been aware of comparability issues/ shortcomings with their Heigh10 offering. They are obviously aware...... But.... no mention on the forums or FB previously..
Will have to defer to Stinger as to how long they've 'understood' their was an issue and what their process is for engineering confirmation/updating websites/updating manuals/and updating support staff. As you can see from the JL Forum post https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/help-jeep-won’t-start.71367/post-1501545, the confirmation part is critical.....
