Hi all, I've been considering getting a new dashcam for my truck, but as I was looking I realized how easy pretty much anything would be to simply grab when I run doorless. I'd rather not deal with locking it up every time if possible, so ideally I'd like to find something that mounts in a way that it's as inconspicuous as possible. Is there something low profile that mounts in the dash, or maybe even one I can mount in the grille like the Rubicon front cam?

I went with the Thinkware FA 200. When I take the roof and doors off, I just unplug the rear camera. The front camera is tiny, hardly noticeable when it's tucked under the rear view mirror.

Any feedback on this unit? Only a few bad reviews online...

No issues whatsoever. Had it for two months now. I like it better than the Garmin in my wife’s car.

Swap out the rear view mirror for one with a dash cam similar to this:

Or mount a waterproof motorcycle type cam by the grille similar to this:

Is anyone using a motorcycle dash cam system in their glad? I like the idea of Mounting a Forward camera in the grill and a rear through a drilled bumper hole and keeping the brain hidden, but accessible to my phone via Wi-Fi. My main concern is I don’t want to have to pull something off or lock my rig (top off / windows down, etc) or have someone with a set of eyes bent on theft seeing a camera lens in the front window.
I’ve thought on this unit:
