I've been a little surprised at how most gladiators that come up for sale around here don't have the cold weather package - our winters are relatively mild in interior BC (reasonably often have lows of -20C, -4F) so we're not prairie cold, but also not Vancouver/island. Do people tend to find that the heated seats/wheel aren't necessary, or would you severely regret not having it/really wish you did?
Love to hear thoughts on this - if it's gonna make a big difference then it severely limits the number of on-the-lot vehicles, and would push towards doing a specific order
Edit - sorry, could have sworn I was in general topics when I posted this, and don't seem to be able to delete it - could it be moved by a mod?

I'm surprised by that too. Have you ever driven a vehicle with a heated steering wheel? It's incredible. Personally, I would not even consider one without the cold weather package. It's so cheap for the amount of use you will get out of it.

I live in Colorado and the cold weather package was one of my requirements as it snows where I live for 6 months out of the year. Totally worth it and you'll become spoiled if you get it.

Heated seats - I use them in every vehicle I've had that had them - for my back issues. I know a woman who would only buy Jeeps that had heated seats because she had some back problems and ran the heat almost year-round.

Heated steering wheel - try having Raynaud's- no more numb and tingling fingers when it's 35 (F) out.

MY wife and I both insist on the cold weather packages on our Jeeps.

I live in Pennsylvania, US. It gets cold here, but not Canada cold. Honestly, there's no way I'd buy a vehicle without the cold weather package these days. Heated steering wheels are amazing. Heated mirrors are a nice bonus too. Heated seats are heavenly. My old car had a heated windshield with heated washer fluid as well. It's very odd to me that they are not ordering cars with the cold weather package where you live.

Good point on the mirrors. Here we have cool mornings with extreme humidity (dew point right up there) and the mirrors actually FOG when you hit the low areas. The heated mirrors prevent that and keep frost off.

What a hoot, I’m in Southern Louisiana now and my Overland & the other Gladiators on the lot all have the cold weather package, but then it’s hotter at my BILs place in the interior right now them here by the bayou

For the record if I had to move back up I’d want the package with rear defroster & heated mirrors being no 1

I live in Oklahoma and even we get enough decently cold (single digit) days that it’s hard to consider a vehicle without a cold weather package.

The JT is my third vehicle with heated seats and steering wheel.
Never thought I needed those options, but am glad I have them now.

If nothing else they take the chill off so arthritic fingers and back and hips don't get that early morning cold shock.

Now if they would just put in the cooling seats, that is great on a hot, humid summer day to sit on a cool seat.

Of course you want a cold weather package. Although this week you were hotter than the desert.

Didn’t think id give a tinker’s damn about it. Until I had it. Totally worth it and an option I wouldn’t be without. And I live in South Carolina.

This. I dig mine. I am in Colorado. I grew up in Chicago winters. Don't wear a coat in Colorado at all....but like Ferris Bueller says....."it's so choice."

Makes my utility vehicle feel like a luxury car.
