Got tired of waiting for my 285s to wear out, decided my truck needed black rims and big meat. Had originally ordered rims and 35x1250s from 4WP, but they were backordered until the 2nd coming.... so I ordered the rims and got tires from Bezos. I'm glad I did... its a huge improvement!
Stance is definitely widened, and I'm definitely in the market for a 2" lift now.
The rims (linked below) barely clear the calipers, but they do; the air dams rubbed, so they're gone. The lugs are too shiny, I've got covers coming. 3.73 gears will NOT be OK offroad (they're fine for now around town), a reagear is next for me...
The guys at 4WP (North Little Rock) declared it the first Gladiator with steelies they'd ever seen and loved it, but I know there's at least one other fella on here with these wheels.

I've been a fan of the steelies ever since seeing the TFL Offroad Gladiator with them. They look great.

I clipped a bollard on the way in to work this morning, sidewall squeaked by and the rim just caught it. Still not used to the new wide stance..
It went flat pretty quick. Took it to the maintenance shop and went to work with a 12lb dead blow sledge, got it MOSTLY back into shape.... It was leaking air dry, but we popped the bead off and glued it, it's holding OK for now.
Ordered a new rim and tire, if this one holds it'll be my new full size spare.
If it doesn't hold, I guess I'll buy another rim and just have a full spare anyway.

Like I said, it hammered MOSTLY back into shape. The flat spot on the bead seat was leaking before glue, but it’s been holding for now. The question now, is do I try to get this rounded out more and let this wheel join the 5 tire rotation, or do a keep it as-is as a decent full size spare and just let it sit?
Or fix it better AND leave it as a spare only…..

If you have a wheel repair place nearby, they can fix that easy.

You should be able to get that damn near perfect with a 2x4 and a 3 lb sledge.

You have just discovered the one real advantage of steel wheels.
If you lived in the Northeast and saw them beginning to rust 2 months into the first winter, I'd explain the biggest disadvantage to you. Ha. But you live in Arkansas. Probably not much salt on your roads.

Love the steelies! Got tired of chewing up expensive wheels so made the switch back to steelies when I bought my JL
Part of the deal was to transfer my wheels to the JT. I’m running the series 97 and with the wide axles it doesn’t rub at all with no lift

Zero chance a gas with 3.73 and 37” tires has plenty of power. Diesel I would venture to say sucks, just less.

Fair enough, I have 35” with 4.10 and would not want any higher gears ever
