Still don't get why they are protected. I have had more than my fair share of run-ins with those pecky bastards to know they have the numbers. Damned Canada gooses! Don't care what they say on Letterkenny.

Hate that about your windshield. I can't tell you the number of times I've been turkey hunting and not seen or heard one all day while geese just fly by the stream. I'd never do it, but can't say it hasn't crossed my mind when the turkeys have been laying low.

In my last truck, I was towing a 23' enclosed trailer on the highway when a goose decided to land in the middle lane. I had no where to go when I struck him. He glanced off my A pillar but took off my drivers side mirror. (I swear he was committing suicide.) Normally it wouldn't be a big deal but I was about 500 miles from home, on a Sunday morning, towing a brick with no view on that side.

I ended up finding a motorcycle shop that was open servicing dirt bikes for use on the local trails. I got a motorcycle mirror that had a stem that bolted right up to the hole that was left behind. It wasn't the best view since it was so small but I got home.

I hate Geese. All of them.

Yikes, I was only 120 miles from home and it was just the windshield that was damaged. I don’t like taking my doors off while towing cause backing up a trailer with no mirrors is not fun. Glad you found a solution to get yourself home.
