I feel like this topic might be beat to death but I can’t seem to find any first hand advice other than people speculating lol... I have a rubicon JT, I ordered some new wheels, they’re 17x8.5”. Will the 37x13.5 be ok on an 8.5” wide wheel? Anyone with first hand experience? If so what are the pros/cons to the 13.5? For some reason the 37x13.5r17 BFG KM3 is cheaper then the 12.5. I realize it’s a heavier tire. Just wanting some real world feedback on the 13.5. Thanks

8.5 are fine for the tire size. Do you have a lift? Some lifts require the wheels to have 4.50 of back spacing or -16 of off set anything less and you could get rubbing.

You should be good to go. Unless your a serious crawler i would stick with the 12.50 tires they are also better in bad weather.

I have 35x12.5r17s on my JK. Does terrible in snow. This is the kind of feedback I’m looking for though. I don’t have experience with anything larger than what’s on my JK. Cost wise it is what it is. The 13.5 is cheaper but only by like $100 for a set of 5. Not going to make or break anything by any means.

I f we are honest most tires are just ok in the snow while some are terrible. I had some General Grabbler X3`s that were pretty darn good. This time around i`m trying the Milestar MT in 37-12.50-17 from Northridge 4x4 at a good price.

I’d probably run the cooper XLT AT3 or the falken if commuting in the snow on 37s was my goal

I’ve been really happy with the wear and mileage I’ve got out of KM2s on my JK. Kinda wanted to stick with BFG. They were quiet, wore nice, and lasted a long time. They do make a 37x12.5r17 K02, but I’m not sure if I want an all terrain. Considering the KM3

I have ordered 17x8.5 inch beedlocker wheels, with offset -32, and back spacing of 3.490 inches, to be installed on a 2021 Rubicon GladiatorJT. The tires are BFG 37x12.50R17 Krawlers. Am I looking for trouble here, in terms of rubbing?

I forgot to add: I will have the 2” Mopar lift installed.
