What kind of troubleshooting steps have you done?
Is it on all ports, or just specific ones?
Have you tried different charging cables?
Have you tried to charge different devices?
Have you checked the fuses?

I have not . Do you know what fuse it would be? Fuse 11?

Mine will occasionally cut out, but the one in the center console does the same thing. It's a problem in the head unit.

Is there a way to do a soft reset on head unit

Here's what I would do first:

Try all the ports
Try a different cable or two
Try charging different devices

All 3 are quick and easy to do and getting those results can really help narrow the problem down. As of now we're all just guessing.

You can pull it's fuse, but I don't remember which fuse...

On mine the light around the USB port in the console starts blinking, and I just have to wait it out. I'm scheduled to have it serviced.

When I bought my JLUR years ago, the JL's were notorious for having loosely installed fuses in the panel in the engine compartment. I checked mine and found several loose ones. You could check to make sure yours are seated properly, just to rule this out.

I used the usb port on my dash to charge my watch and it went crazy and stopped working. After a week it went back to normal and again I tried to charge something other than a phone and it messed up, a couple of days later it started working again. I no longer plug anything other than a phone into the factory plugs and use a 12v adapter to charge stuff.

This problem just started for me a few days ago after having my garmin watch plugged into the center usb. Now the center usb light flickers and constantly goes off and on like it thinks it's still plugged in and the device not supported message keeps popping up. Did the fuse check and even swapped to new fuses in case of a hairline crack in a fuse but nothing has changed. Day 4 today we'll see if it corrects itself. Will be scheduling a service though. This problem is effecting all the usb ports. The rear usb ports are also flashing. Rear seat inverter plug works fine though.

My dealership is so busy and booking into late January so I decided to try something and blowout all my ports and found that this stopped the the device not supported message. Only thing is I'm not sure which port it was causing the issue. This also leads me to wonder why the armrest usb or USB #2 does not have a cover on it if this is an issue it will con't to be one in the future. Need to find a rubber plug of some type.
