Update:
I put that second coat on it and basically forgot about it. Truck was looking extra dirty and I washed it and it still had all the water repelling properties. I dunno whatever I did this last time seemed to make some difference.

Can confirm it's a gel. I put two coats on the truck so far and like it.

I love how it can be applied to plastic and glass.

Ok thanks for the confirmation.
So far it seems nice. I only got to do the hood and doors of my wifes car before it got too dark. Ill say I could tell a difference even in low light. hoping the sun is out when she gets home later so I can get a better look.

Worked with stuff on the jeep this morning. 3 days of raining coming. I may have done it too thick because it was a workout to get back off. Anyhow.
Did you guys know this was a gel?
This made the black look REALLY black.

Let us know how it held up after the constant rain we're getting. I've seen reviews saying it doesn't last long. Which I get, it's $40, not a $2000 ceramic coating job. But if it keeps my Hydro Blue popping between washes I'll give it a shot.

So far it's awesome. It seems to prevent water spots as well. Raining like hell yesterday, last night and today. Doing its job so far. I'll update in a week or so and go from there.

Updates:
Good:
Pretty happy so far. Water beading is REALLY good. It rained like 3 days after I put this on. I drove through it, was awesome. I parked under the carport and hours later water still on the hood in beads. I did my windshield as well. Very happy with it so far. One of the biggest gripes was if you wash a black truck then it rains you will have water spots all over it. I would say this eliminated 95% of that problem. it has had that "just washed" look since I put it on.
Bad:
Its a nightmare to apply. I did my best to put it on thin spread evenly. But man it is really difficult to get off. I tried to do my wifes camry's windshield and I couldnt get it back off. it acted strange and just kept turning to like powder/dust. Sort of like glue you are trying to rub off or something and it just keeps getting worse. On the black truck it was easy to see where it was left on her silver/metallic paint its impossible to tell where any is left.
Typically with waxes I would do a panel on the drivers side then while it is drying i would do the passenger side panel while it is drying you can wipe off the drivers side etc. Dont do that with this stuff. I dont know that I would go past a minute letting it dry unless you have some sort of buffer or something you can use to help get it back off. I presume its difficult so it bonds better but man you can get yourself in a mess if you get ahead of yourself.

I'm intrigued, but I just clay barred and waxed my truck a few weeks ago after I got it. Not feeling another clay bar session to get the old wax off. Maybe I'll wait until the Spring.

Welp the truck needed washed, like every black truck does. Kinda warm out today maybe 60. Decided to have at it.
Doesn't seem like the hydro slick lasted. ZERO water repellent on the hood now and that was where I focused most of my work. The windshield was still gtg.
I still have plenty left in the bottle but I'm not sure I'd buy it again. 1 month tops is all you'll get out of this without multiple coats and with the vehicle being out of the elements most of the time.
Combine that with the difficulty of removal I'm just not sold.
It looks and performs great when it's "active" though.

I wash weekly and I've been happy with P&S Bead marker. It doesn't last longer than maybe 2-3 weeks but it also doesn't overhype how long it will last. Spray it on when you dry and you're done. Spray it on after dry and work it in like a spray wax if you want extra slickness. Plus its like 36$ for an entire gallon.
