If you are like me and try to keep your gladiator looking nice even though it is an offroad vehicle, you should try the new Shinelogic by Chemical Guys! It dries to the touch quickly so it doesn’t sling onto your paint and leaves a lasting high gloss finish.
I’m not employed by Chemical Guys and do not sell anything. I just wanted to let the group know about a good economical product…

Thanks for the information, I use Chemical Guys but I haven't tried this product. I was looking at something else to keep the shine, but I'll try this one now.

Tire shine products are known to soften the rubber and sidewall punctures are not repairable. Take it for what it's worth, but they do increase the risk of a sidewall puncture off road.

I'll add it to my list of cleaning products. I go through a lot of tire shine since we have three vehicles and a few trailers including a travel trailer. 👍

Source? I've never heard that before. I've used tire shine products on Jeep tires for 30 years. Never had a side puncture. Is there a tire company who is warning of this?

I would think a little lubricant on the side wall might actually reduce the likelihood of a puncture. (Very, very, very slightly.) But that's just a hypothesis.

Not sure where I read it 1st, but here's a military magazine article. They definitely feel softer after treatment but I know that's not exactly scientific.

I'd love for them to say which chemicals to look for that might degrade rubber. I've used ArmorAll cleaner/shine for many years. Ocasionally, I've used a silicon based tire shine, but I didn't like the residue it left on the rims.

I'm a big fan of these guys. All their products smell amazing and I can use this on the tires AND all the trim; fenders, door handles, cowl, bumpers, rail caps... They also have a sweet spray and dry wax.

I like the stuff from WalMart and I really enjoy it when I accidentally brush up against a tire and I get black crap all over my jeans.
It’s even worse if your wife’s lifted wrangler on 37s is backed into the garage and you smack your shoulder on the spare every day.

Talk to any professional detailer. Chemical Guys is over hyped and over priced. Much better options out there.
