Changing the angle of the front seat cushions?

I did this and didn’t use the slim shim.

I also installed the DDI Seat Jackers. Very easy install, helped with comfort. I don't feel like I'm sliding forward anymore. I used the shim on mine. Costly though. ? I've read where some people just use a stack of washers to get the same benefit.

Never seen that unless someone makes a replacement model that can inserted in place of the OEM. Never seen any talk of that on the JL forum either although I have (correction: have NOT) checked in months.

If you look at their human inseam/height specs, you can get an idea for which setup you need (base block or block w/ the added shim). I’m 5’11 with a 32” inseam and the block without the slim shim worked best. I had the original one-piece design and that was too tall—sold them to a guy who was 6’3” and he liked it.

Mine bothered me but I guess I got used to it. I had big plans to raise up the front of my seat bottom but I totally forgot about it.

I added some half inch threaded nuts under the front mounts. Gave me enough lift to offset the forward slide. I have the 6MT, the semi constant leg motion had me sliding forward to much. Since I've added these I haven't had a problem. I thought about the DDI products and others and tried this first. Works for me.

Looking at the pics on their website it seems to imply the block isn’t milled to lay flat against the mounting point on the seat rail. Is that true? Maybe it’s the camera angle?

Seems a bit sketchy if it’s only partially in contact.

It’s accurate for the side next to the console.

Thanks for the confirmation. Trying to give them the benefit of the doubt — does it duplicate how the seat mounts from the factory (with angle) on these newer bodies? If not, can’t say I’d design it that way given how its supposed to hold my seat in place in a crash. (sorry, my engineering classes did this to me)
