I can't even see most of he floor in my shop and it's a total disaster.
It has shelves of engines, engine parts, blocks, heads, crankshafts, axles, interior parts, flywheels, transmissions, transfer cases, steering gear, a wall of starters, alternators, wiper motors, new old stock parts for same, shelves of books and manuals, technical service bulletins, multiple work benches, plating chemicals, 3 long AMC dealership signs that need repair and to get hung up outside, and more.

My garage is a catch-all. We park our Jeeps in there and one of my cars is in there, along with the lawn tractor and snow blade, 15 or so hit and miss engines, a wall full of antique air-cooled engines (Maytag, REO, B&S, Lauson, O&R, etc), shelves of parts, emergency generator, and hanging on the walls are new old stock quarter panels for my Eagle, fenders, garden equipment.
In the garage loft, radiators, new old stock fender for the Javelin, spare right fender for it, steering columns, Christmas decorations and lights for the house.

Both look like some episode of "Hoarders".
I'd pay good money for someone to come in and organize it all.

I like my garage, but now that I see the pictures I guess it is sort of a hillbilly/redneck garage compared to the previous submissions ?.
It’s all functional though. Random Jeep fluid drips aren’t really a bother on the dirt floor, and I can run the engines without risk of asphyxiation due to the well ventilated ceiling!

When I got the permit to put up my shop building, I had a budget.......... I was going to put off concrete floor for a year. The gal at the county office asked me what I was going to use the building for. I told her to park my F20 tractor and a couple of cars (at that time I had planned on it being mostly "garage"). She asked - do they have engines? I wanted to say "Well, DUH!" but resisted. She was already fighting me on the height of the building.
I asked why - she said anything with an engine, gas and/or oil must have a concrete floor.
I wanted to ask about all of the farmers and their pole buildings with combines, tractors, trucks and so on parked inside - on a dirt floor, but didn't.
She said in order to get a permit and get the certificate to occupy or use the building if I had anything at all in there with an engine, I had to put in a concrete floor. Yikes, there went the budget. on the good side was that the builder said it would make life better in the end because they'd put up the outer walls, the concrete floor would be put in and then the inner walls would come down to meet the floor, sealing it off better from "things" (bugs, critters, and so on).
