Rubicon sway bar disconnect question

I purchased my Gladiator a month ago, I have not been able to go wheeling yet, but I have tried putting into 4wd, lockers, etc. I noticed when disconnecting the sway bar sometimes it takes a long ass time to disconnect. I remember seeing on someone’s YouTube channel saying if it takes a while to disconnect rock the jeep back and forth a lil. Well I tried that and with a snap of a finger it disconnected haha. Figured it just needed to be broken in but it’s done it twice now. Is that just how the rubi disconnects are? Or should I take it into service to be looked at?

That is how mine is, but instead of rocking I just pull forward a couple feet very slowly and it disconnects.

If there’s any pressure against the swaybar (the axle isn’t perfectly level to the body) then it can cause the disconnect to bind. That’s why rocking fixes it.

I will give that a try as well! My last jeep I had quick disco’s. So this is new to me haha

I mean this was on the street when I tried lol. So nothing off level other than the crown of the road.

Sometimes that’s all it takes. Cold weather can exacerbate the issue as well.

And it has been cold lately too. I guess that’s what all hype is about for the broncos sway bar?
