Can we talk about the 7" radio. I was able to use my S22 Ultra with the android auto, to Uconnect to the head unit. But, I wanted to not have the radio come blasting on when I stopped using the Google map. Meaning, when the cell is USB connected to the head unit and it goes into android auto mode and the head unit displays that Google Maps logo, then when the map is done and I go to some other display on that head unit the radio comes blaring in. Anyway to have the radio volume off? or is there a way to have the head unit mute or be directed to a different media like a SD card that's not installed but silent? The chosen device is something other than the radio.

It goes back to whatever you were using before you plugged your phone in. So going to the media screen should work.

Turn the Google maps volume on the phone up as loud as it will go, and then the head unit volume doesn't need to be up so loud.

Music and maps/Android assistant use separate volume. If you turn one down, it doesn't effect the other. You can turn the maps volume all the way down, and the radio up or vice versa. To change maps volume, turn the volume knob while the Google lady is talking to you. It will only effect maps and assistant though. Nothing else.
