I have it in both my JTO and GCLtd. I think I paid $140 for both for a year. I went with a slightly higher package (has stuff I don't use like MLB and NFL stuff) because I wanted to be sure I kept channel 18...The Beatles channel. I also have the app on my phone with a bluetooth receiver connected to my home stereo system so I can also listen at home, all day long.

The best deal was when Sirius first came out. The satellites had just launched. My brother talked me into a lifetime subscription. I think is was approx. $275 or so...., like a 3 year payoff at the time. You get three radio upgrades with it, but, if you replace the same radio, it does not count. I have a bunch of Sirius s50 that I was swapping out for a while once they go bad... I remember there was some fight to get XM support when they merged, but, we got it. They did not have streaming wifi yet either, but, when that came out, all lifetime subscribers also got it. That was the golden ticket... So now, I pretty much just stream through my phone with apple car play. So, I have to say, the lifetime subscription was the greatest deal of all time.
A Buddy of mine did that too bought it for his dad and best friend since childhood as his Christmas gift. He has been laughing about the deal he got especially when called to try to change it.

I had the service given to me for 3 months after two dealership services twice, then the phone calls and emails to continue service. My quick response is no thanks and no C.C. information from me, as noted I don't think I should pay for it when I get forced commercials.

I pay 99 a year. I just call and say I want to cancel and it works every time.
Correct. Every year it is the same call to cancel and they give me the same deal as the previous year. I actually use the service more for my iPhone and headphones for working out and also working outside. Oh, and use on my boat. Not in my Jeep too much anymore.

I had XM for awhile in my old truck but reception was spotty in Austin. No idea why, when I would call we'd go through the send the signal everything looks fine. Then it was well they're working on the transmitter tower etc. I said, well it's been this way for several months, they've been working on that for a long time then. Cancelled the subscription their response was ... if you don't cancel we'll give you an extra month free. My response, so I'll get a free month of shitty reception that cuts in and out no thanks?
Wait, what? There are no "transmitter towers" for satellite radio. The satellite is the transmitter. That's why you lose the signal when you go into a tunnel, drive between steep mountains or get blocked by any large, impenetrable object.

I have read that they have some ground based transmitters to fill in the dead zones. That was years ago, don't know if they still have any.

I just go online and renew, don't have to call anyone. When I select Chat to cancel service, it pops up several discount offers to choose from. I'm paying $10 month for service for two vehicles and streaming.
And my wife streams it over her phone through a Blast speaker in the house in her quilting room. She had that phone Sirius going at least 6 hours a day and then in her Grand Cherokee when she's driving it. She gets her money's worth for sure.
I waited until I got a good deal in email and did it all online.

Just did some reading and it apparently cell towers sometimes interfere with satellite radio. Maybe that's what was going on.

That explains why we never have trouble with satellite radio. Always comes in clear, just fine - even with my wife's phone. (and yet cell phone calls are a problem.......)
I have yet to see the radio fail to receive signal loud and clear, never spotty.

Never been to Iowa, but I expect there aren't many narrow mountain passes. :)
