buddy of mine a while back got a channel rigged to his trailer tongue, a few straps later and all good and not in his truck bed he seemed to think it was a better place for it than in the bed, just a thought
Iv'e seen quite a few campers rigged with motorcycle channels on the rear, even with a ramp that flips down for easy loading and unloading.

When you put one on the tongue you'd need to compensate by moving some weight rearward in the camper/trailer.

So I was wondering why I couldn't quite get the tailgate all the way clear like yours, needed about another inch of bed.

But I see you having the front wheel sideways must have made the difference, I need to try it again when I leave my buddies place in a few days.

Not that it's a problem having the tailgate half down but now my OCD is going to kick in.
