Show me your window tint!

Planning on getting tint installed next week. Previously on my vehicles I have always done 35% front and 15% over factory rear/back tint.

Thinking about changing it up this time and doing 30% all around but would be interested to see what others have done.

Don’t know the percentages but passenger and drives is supposed to match the rear factory tint. The windshield is the lightest tint before just UV clear.

Got the fronts to match the rears whatever that is. Then the front windshield I know is at 40 or at least I was told that.

Factory everything except a lower 20% on the windshield to stop the blinding glare from the hood without putting a big old hood sticker on it. It helps I'm about 6' so my eyes are right in the middle of the top of the tint and the top of the windshield.

Mine may be too dark, and I just had it redone today, but..

I went %40 windshield and then %5 on everything else.

I've had illegal tint like this on all my vehicles since 2007 when I graduated high school.

I have received 1, yes 1, ticket in 2012, and for a whopping $25.00.

Must have some Irish in me because I certainly am lucky.

Not bragging, just confirming I must be lucky.

I'll keep my fingers crossed and a four-leaf clover in my truck!

What is that you prefer most about going 5%? I like dark but I think there can be too dark, just curious on why you prefer it so dark.

Hmm... Honestly, I think it's more of a physiological reasoning.

I'm a huge fan in uniformity - and when tint doesn't really match it drives me absolutely nuts.

To give you an example, this is the 3rd time I've tinted this Jeep to get it how I want because it drove me crazy.

Now, I do also drive an Audi S6 - which I tinted %30 all around, not %5, and it's so clean looking I wouldn't go %5.

On top of the uniformity, I kind of like being in the Jeep like a vault - maybe I have some mental process in me that likes the small spaces (however I have not had any violence in my past that would give me a PTSD reason for this, so just a theory.).

To counter the belief of dark tint; I don't smoke, drink, or text text while I drive. I don't do anything that one would think someone with dark tint needs so they can prevent viewing inside the cockpit - and half the year my doors are off.

Long winded paragraph, but yea... Go team!

Just got mine installed yesterday, I went 20% all around and 55% on the windshield although if your an enforcement officer I will deny it exist haha the 55% is a little darker than I wanted to go but will chance it if I were to do it again I would have stuck with the 70% it blocks the heat but you can see through it perfectly.
