I’m just curious if you were in the market for new/used take-off wheels and tires, would you want them with or without the TPMS sensors?
I have an imaginary Mojave Gladiator, but I have some for real wheels and tires that will be installed on said Gladiator within a day or two of it’s arrival.
My intent is to use the OEM sensors in my aftermarket tire/wheel set up.
I know mid 2021 Jeep went with different technology on the sensors so it seems if someone were looking to pick up a set of take-offs that they would prefer them with no sensors, particularly if they had a pre June 21 Jeep.
I know it’s a windy question but is it a legit concern? Should I just have new sensors installed in my aftermarket wheels and sell the ones on the truck the way that they come?

FWIW - This is exactly what I would do...I prefer to stay Mopar, even though you are well past the 2021 issues...

I swapped my OEM sensors over to new wheels and tires. 50/50 chance whoever bought them would need the new sensors. And that's what ended up happening.

Just an example,

A local guy I know selling his 4 stock JT wheels and tires (no spare) without sensors, got down to $800 with no takers after 4 weeks. Me selling my 5 stock JT wheels (steelie spare) with sensors, sold for $1,400 within 19 hours.

as always YMMV

Hmmm, so you’re saying leave them as they came from the factory and just purchase the Mopar ones for my aftermarket wheels?
I can’t believe anyone would pay for these ugly ass Black JT wheels.?
Time to hit up Benny and see what a set of OEM ones cost nowadays.
Last question, does the spare have a sensor from the factory?
I may have to order a fifth wheel so I can do the five tire rotation.
Always something with these damn imaginary vehicles.?

For what it‘s worth Ace, I bought 5 take offs without sensors for my imaginary Overland and bought 5 TPMs sensors from Benny to put in them. I’d say if they’re priced right and someone wants them they’ll pony up for the sensors, on the other hand, If memory serves me right, I bought the 5 sensors for like $125-$130 bucks. Good luck on moving them

I sold my set of Mojave take offs with sensors and discovered just a few days later that my aftermarket sensors from my 19 JLUR weren't compatible with my '22 JTM - something about the change in 2021. Learned the hard way. Ended up paying $120 for 4 new compatible sensors.

I'm with you - when I first saw the JTM black wheels I thought they looked like spares!

Been so damn long I don’t remember.?
No, I got AT’s. This is the last Jeep I’ll ever own so I won’t intentionally be going anywhere where MT’s would normally be beneficial.

I just sold my take-offs a couple of weeks ago.

I got $900 with the sensors in them. Combo had 16K on them.

I’m interested in them, not sure how shipping would work or how expensive it would be from California to Ohio though.

I just bought some wheels and tires off of a Texas Trail without sensors. New one's cost ~$24 ea and Discount Tire charged $56 to install.
It just depends on who's going to buy your tires and what year model they have. If you leave your sensors in, I would adjust my selling price accordingly. I would have paid $100 or more to skip to hassle of doing all that.

I've been trying to sell my stock overland wheels and tires with less than 500 miles for over a year for $400 for everything and nobody wants them. The tires alone are almost $200 each new...

Pretty sure S&H would be a deal killer. Unless you have some sort of corporate shipping contract.
Keep an eye on marketplace, offer up, and Craigslist. Some will come along locally.

I just sold my set of black Willys wheels for $400. Kept the tpms to go with my new wheels and had no issues after installation. The market for used wheels here in Houston was pretty competitive so getting them sold was a great thing.
