Interesting that your trailer is 300 pounds lighter than my 18' Aluma 100% aluminum trailer (including 14" aluminum wheels). Amazing.My trailer is 1208, it is aluminum. The car 3605 with tools and straps almost 5k. If I have to I will address cooling. I had to on my 2003 Sierra Denali when I supercharged it back in the day
Even the bed is aluminum. I would expect your wood bed to be heavier. Not 300 pounds lighter than a 100% aluminum trailer (save for the axles, of course!)
