Yeah I agree the tar stuff was half way decent, and it was quite a chore removing it when I redid my YJ frame. Coated with POR 15

My switches had issues, but it think it had more to do with the track in my case... I had to straddle the door and pull the glass up manually and occasionally it would still fall a bit, I would then wedge card board pieces to keep it from falling.
