Stellantis was created way after the tooling and all parts where designed for the Gladiator. About the only thing new is the dash and infotainment. JTs are mostly using the same part from when they first went into production. Not sure I get how Stellantis ruined the JTs.
Just asked Copilot to create an image of an old school small pickup truck with a single cab in green, steel wheels, Jeep grille. This is what I got. Put A/C, Bluetooth, CarPlay and a small diesel and I would be happy. Then I asked for a crew cab. Sweet! The last image is for a futuristic Jeep...
My '21 JTR is coming on 50K miles. No issues. There are many creaks and annoying sounds but those are as result from our very long gravel driveway and the 1.5 mile county gravel road to the blacktop. The noise that annoys me the most comes from the hardtop on bumpy roads. But as far as quality...
I've had over 40 cars. On most I did upgrades or full systems, anything from Polk, Kicker, Infinity, RF, JBL, Pioneer, JL, etc. That being said, I think the stock Alpine system sounds good enough to not mess with it.
One thing no one mentions here is the impedance and sensitivity. Stock head units do not put out a lot of power. Maybe 25 watts at 4 ohms. This means that if you go with speakers that are not very efficient (89Db sensitivity or less) they will not sound as loud as speakers with 90Db or more. The...
On another thread you said your JTW has 3.73 gears, are you going to regear for 37s? Your truck will feel like you are hauling a trailer full of cows with 37s and 3.73s. A 3.5" lift should do the trick.
Decided to add a ladder on the tailgate. I went with the Traxion standard ladder. It was on sale on Amazon. It isn't a GMC Multi Pro tailgate but it works just fine.
My truck wouldn't start at the auto parts store when the batteries were bad. All lights started flashing, transmission warning etc., it would even jump start with the NOCO. The only solution was to disconnect the N1 for 30 seconds and then it started right up with the NOCO. When I replaced the...
Next time that happens, disconnect the N1 cable from the fuse box (ignore the red cable running across to a fuse tap), to let it reset and all the warning lights and stuck transmission shifter will go away. Then you should be able to start the truck.
Looks great! Sarge is my favorite color. That is something I will never do to mine. I don't have the patience to spend hours on it. Best I do for mine is the occasional drive through car wash. Hard to keep clean when our gravel driveway is 1/4 mile long then another 1.5 miles of county gravel...
Both. In case your JT turns into a Christmas tree with all kinds of lights flashing and a transmission message (happened to me twice, one after attempting to remote start), if you disconnect the first cable closer to the front of the vehicle going into the fuse box for a few seconds, the errors...
