I have a 24 gladiator with a factory headunit and its non amplified. What speakers would you recommend.

Considering the JBL Club 64's 6.5 for the knee panels and sound bar.

I added the MB Quart in the upper dash. Easy replace. I left the knee dash alone cause I didn’t want to tear the dash apart. Put Alpine 6.5’s in the sound bar. It’s pretty good for what I wanted but would like a little more bass so plan on adding the Kicker 10” hideaway behind the rear driver side seat.

I just replaced dash paper tweeters and roll bar.
Also 4’ in roll bar
Easy install and sounds better but bass is still lacking.
Idk if bass is pre wired like the Alpine upgraded package .

I replaced all of mine in my 2021 Gladiator Rubicon with MB Quart stage 6 and added subs with 3 amps sounds great!

I’ve got 2 Rubicons, 2019 & 2021 with Alpines. The dash speakers rattled right off the showroom floor and the service department really couldn’t help. Anyway, does anyone know of a more robust replacement?

One thing no one mentions here is the impedance and sensitivity. Stock head units do not put out a lot of power. Maybe 25 watts at 4 ohms. This means that if you go with speakers that are not very efficient (89Db sensitivity or less) they will not sound as loud as speakers with 90Db or more. The JBL you are looking at are probably the best option for you as they are 93Db at 3 ohms. This will play significantly louder than lower Db speakers. Being that they are 3 ohms helps since the factory wires are thin and create resistance which will essentially put a load of 4ohms at the head unit.

Things to always look for:
-Sensitivity in Dbs, 90 or better ideal. The lower the number, the more power you need to push them.
-Freq. Response Hz to KHz. Humans can't hear above 20KHz. 48Hz to 21KHz is good but the bass will not be deep. Below 40Hz is better. Of course if you are getting a sub, then you don't need deep bass from the 6.5s.
-Materials- Butyl or rubber surround for the woofer. Silk dome tweeters tend to sound more natural and warm instead of titanium that will sound harsh.

I would go with the JBL Club.

Good luck!

How can the OEM head unit be non amplified? If there is no amplifier, you would not hear anything. Do you mean it does not have a separate amplifier and you would like to add an additional amplifier and new speakers?

I'm sure that is what JTMONEY meant. Non Alpine system.

I replaced the dash speakers first with Alpine Infinity and they were so overpowering, that I switched my sound bar with a DS18 one (plug&play). that made the Jeep very loud, but no bass. Then I put a self amplified sub behind the rear seat. Now the system sounds crisp with enough bass. I left the knee speakers alone for the similar reason others said (too much effort).

I installed Infinity speakers in the dash and rollbar. The sound difference is amazing. Mine is a 2024 Alpine. I did a detailed write up here

I've had over 40 cars. On most I did upgrades or full systems, anything from Polk, Kicker, Infinity, RF, JBL, Pioneer, JL, etc. That being said, I think the stock Alpine system sounds good enough to not mess with it.

Kinda late to the party. I have the Alpine system but wanted a little better sound so I put Infinity tweeters in the dash and 6 1/2" JBL / tweeter in the sound bar. Didn't mess with the knee panels. Definite improvement. Attached are a few picks of the sound bar and how I marked/cut out some plastic so the plate and speakers would fit. Also added some stuffing in the hole to improve sound.
