Factory Alpine Stereo Upgrade - Speaker Issue?

Update: I just tried it again today, and still get a rattle around volume 27 out of 36 w/ the Alpine amp. But that's hearing damage level and I never run it that high. That peg you mention above may be the culprit. Maybe try wedging something in here or there and see what changes.

my metra pods sounded awful! I tried Kickers and Infinity6.5s but they just rattled annoyingly. Did you do anything special or did I get a bad batch of pods? I even tried them with the back plug open to let some airflow out but the front still rattled. Just ended up putting the OEM ones back in because I was so frustrated.

No vibration at all. I filled them with polyfill and made sure to seal extra screw holes and the opening around the speaker with Second Skin Butyl Sealing Tape and then filled the gaps between the speakers themselves and the factory grill openings with the Road Kill 3 Piece foam inserts. Everything sounds nice and tight; no rattles.
