Excellent video. I don't have any issues with mine yet but I watched the entire video just to learn. What mileage did you start using fuel additives? Just like you, I am so surprised the intake manifold is as clean as it is given the mileage.
Yes I used the Jscan with the 12+8 cable. It can turn off the light temporarily but the code remains in the background since it's a permanent code, so the light eventually pops back up unless the ECU sees condition where the ccv is fixed.
Hope that works out. Did you clear the code with a scan tool? I tried clearing the code--the light turns off but the code remains permanent inside the ECU, so the light comes back up after driving a bit. It's supposed to clear itself after a few drive cycles, maybe 5 to 10 cycles of cold start...
Unfortunately, I received the same code but after 400-500 miles. But then again, I didn't cut the hoses as ADD suggested in the instructions. My cuts made the inlet and outlet hoses a bit longer than it was supposed to be. My outlet and inlet nipples on the can also weren't screwed down tight...
My dealership tried to open a claim with Stellantis to get my Gorilla windshield replaced under the warranty but received a rejection notice saying the warranty only covers 12 months 12,000 mi on the Gorilla Glass. Apparently it's no longer the 2 years unlimited miles. This seems new to me...
Will do. It's an ADD W1 catch can with their latest design to not trigger a light. They even advertise no check engine codes on their website. I'll do a review once I run it for a month.
Truck runs fine but just doing a cleaning to start a benchmark. I can see just a tiny hole through all that gunk that's probably enough to keep the sensor working. At this pace, I wouldn't be surprised if it becomes completely clogged in the next 20k miles.
I cleaned the sensor to gauge how...
Looks like the original seller I bought it from is no longer selling.
I used the SM2 Pro+. The non + you listed should work fine too. Make sure yours come with a CD.
Yeah, quicker response going straight to MrTuning. Usually responds within 24hrs. That was my experience when inquiring about their tune. I ultimately went with GDE--which btw was super responsive and have superb customer service.
Does your SM2 Pro have a version sticker on it? That's the software version you want to use. Also, do you have the flash drive that came with your kit plugged into your laptop?
Anyhow, after going through the cloning process myself and having sent out my PCM to GDE and installing the tune this...
I soaked that end of the tube in a degreaser overnight and used rags and several nylon brushes the next day to clean off the carbon sludge buildup. I also had a can of brake cleaner to aid the cleaning while brushing.
EGR tube simply routes the exhaust gas back into the intake manifold to help...
