Update: finally got around to checking the gear ratio and saw that it was changed back to 4:10. I had taken off the tazer to have the software update recall done and I guess maybe that changed it back to 4:10 from 5:13. Tire size was changed as well. What I don’t get is how come the truck didn’t...

Just to clarify, the weight certificate was the requirement when I initially purchased the vehicle and wanted to register it in CA (it was bought new out of state).

I was never asked how much I wanted to tow when I registered it at DMV. They asked me to get a weight certificate from weighting station which I did. However, I didnt know that I would be charged a weight fee going forward at each registration renewal.

Just received my first registration renewal and notice that there is a weight fee on there. Is this normal? Does everyone with a Gladiator have that?

It definitely goes into 4LO as I feel the difference. The one thing that I forgot to mention is that the last I did this, I was able to pull it out of 4L but gear indicator was still showing 4L. Once I turned off/on the truck, it showed the correct 2H setting.

I changed my gearing to 5.13. I have been having a hard time lately switching from 2H to 4H and 4L. Also can't get off road+ and lockers to work. When I am in 4L and want to turn on the lockers, I get a message that the truck needs to be in 4L which already is. Before taking it to the dealer...

I haven't made the purchase. Artec is nice but too expensive compared to others. I can technically get 2 Asfir for 1 Artec. I wanted to move forward with Metalcloak but they never responded to my message. I also liked the Motobilt one since it covers so much but it's super heavy (240lbs).

I had the complete opposite experience. Replaced the Alpine with Terra and could not tell any major difference. At least not for $250. I ended up keeping them but would not have purchased them had I known.

I have an Arcus front bumper with Badland winch and without the Override bar. I would like to add lights but the tow hooks get in the way of the light beam. They are directly in front of the holes that I want to use which was originally meant for the override bar. I wanted to see what others...
