They would have co-existed fine as a set of badge engineered twins. Chrysler at the time was just not that profitable and had to make come cuts to survive.
I used the provided harness on my lights with the switch part removed, because the lights came with nice sealed connectors and I wanted to retain the individual 10A fuse as I intend to have multiple lights hooked to the same 40A circuit.
Somebody put those ugly running boards on a new vehicle, on purpose? What aesthetic were they going for? Grandpa on his way to poach some poon from the bingo hall?
I came across this thread in the Maverick forums and seen that they had a neat bed cubby option. I wonder if it would be a possible cheap retrofit for the Gladiator bed...
I ended up adding a solar panel and charge controller on my toolbox to charge the batteries through the trailer connector. The batteries may still die of underhood temperatures, but they damn sure wont die from not being charged enough.

Also, cabled AA can be glitchy if you have a low quality cable, as USB-C cables can vary wildly in...
This right here is why Stellantis is going through CEO's every year. No one is paying $60k for a Cherokee with removable doors when you are well into Wrangler/Gladiator money.
I went with a LiFePO4 motorcycle starting battery in mine, but any Group 14 AGM battery should fit and work. A YTX-14BS motorcycle battery will drop in and fit if AUX14 batteries are still as hard to get as the last time I tried.
