Oh waaaa. My V10 34’ motorhome towing my 2022 Gladiator on 35’s gets 6-7 mpg. The price you pay to play is the way I look at it.

And what does the V10 get when not towing? If like mine (or the one I had (31ft) was still in the 7 range. My BTCrusier with the 7.3 Gorilla V8 get in the mid 9's.

And I agree with you on the If you need to know the MPG of a MH, you don't need to buy one.

I come from bigger trucks and heavier loads. I'm used to needing to stop before the IA/IL border when towing along I80 with any truck I've ever owned. But frankly, I do a bit better with the JT than I did the others.
Summer MPG with the massive weight I've added and the slightly wider tires I still do 20 or so when not towing. Blows every truck I've had out of the water. And towing my car hauler loaded with 3200-3500 pounds of car and gear, I can do almost 14
One trip to Cordova and back averages 13.9 towing at 65-70 mph. I generally use 65 as a rule when towing. It used to be the law in most states years ago.
I really don't find myself stopping more often for gas than I used to. Last trip to Cordova dragway I made it there and back to one of the small towns before my getting on I80 to head back to home. That was better than my Chevy did. I had to gas up while in Iowa. I still sometimes do to save money because of the costs of gas over there.
I guess I don't see the problem, or even "a" problem.
Compared to other trucks, it's just as good if not a bit better when I tow my stuff. But it's a whole lot more FUN in any case.
20+ summer gas driving unloaded with about 200 pounds of extra weight (steps, bumper, winch - and ME)
17-18 on winter gas
13+ towing 5,000 pounds - my car hauler with car, running about 65 mph in the hills and wind.
NO complaints in that respect.

I went to pick up a new trailer on Monday, about 300 miles one way. On the way up there I got around 27.5 mpg, average about 70mph. On the way back I was at about 13mpg. I felt like I spent more time at the fuel station than on the interstate. Do the gasoline versions have bigger gas tanks? I swear it felt like by the time I merged back onto the interstate I was already 1/8 tank down.

I guess im spoiled with my average of 24mpg mixed driving with my Diesel. Godspeed out there my gasoline brothers, I'll see you at the next fuel stop.

I guess you could say we don’t care about gas mileage. I get 16-18 on 37s with 5:13s. Doesn’t bother me a bit. I don’t want the reliability issues the diesel has. That cost will out way the extra gas we “gassers” spend. Also diesel is more so you’re really not saving much. Plus the 4k price increase just to buy a diesel in the first place.

I did the math - my Overland in the summer mpg vs what the JT diesel owners say they get (so I was hopefully using real numbers, if the members were giving factual numbers)
I used the prices of gas and diesel fuel around here.
It was a wash - cost/mile for fuel alone was the same. Once in a while the gasser was a tad cheaper in fuel per mile, and sometimes the diesel won, depending on the price spread.
So to me, the mpg bit should be ignored.
There are pros and cons to each, if you like the diesel, fine, but don't talk up the mpg because when you figure the cost per mile of the fuel only, I see no difference.
Brag about the other advantages, the cost per mile isn't one of them. (except maybe when towing a heavy load.......)

My Gladiator V6 gets 50 MPG with the windows up, and 40 MPG with the windows down...

My 2023 max tow on commute gets 19-21 mpg
towing my 16' big Tex car trailer w/ a fox body on it 15-16 mpg

This is how I do it at my local station right now
Reg unleaded $2.82 18 gals $50.76
Diesel $3.95 18 gals $71.10

add price of Def, the initial cost of the diesel motor and that I only tow maybe 10 times a year maybe an hour or 2 drive. There was is no saving with the oil burner

Gas mileage or fuel mileage shouldn’t even be a concern. You bought a jeep. Hopefully you bought a jeep for the lifestyle. It’s a brick, always has been a brick. The thing about a jeep is it can take you places most others can’t. It does many things well, except mileage but again, if you bought it and don’t like how it tows or how much gas or diesel it burns, sell it. I have had 11 different jeeps from stock to built and never once really cared about mileage. Wasn’t why I keep buying jeeps.

The reason is because of the small gas tank size. I get about the same with my Ram, but I make less stops because the gas tank size is twice the size of my JT.

Stock 21 Willys gasser, just did 800 miles Chicago to NJ. Got 21mpg obviously all highway

Daily driver in about 16-17mpg, 14 miles each way, that's half highway but evening rush hour is pretty much bumper to bumper.

Towing, 4500lb camper, get about 11mpg. Is what it is I know the limits and just live with it. Wouldn't want a full size truck for daily driver. I find my truck to be a good balance, jack of all trades master of none type thing. Doors and roof off, off road, etc... as mentioned it's a lifestyle type choice not about fuel efficiency

Plenty of people live in class A motorhomes while towing a car (wranglers and gladiators included) and travel full time. I don't think mileage factors in much for them either (7mpg maybe on a good day???)

Maybe I'm just in year 3 of honeymoon phase but I still love this truck

I get about 14mpg with 33"s. Only because my job is only 5 miles away with three stoplights between. Highway I get 18-20
Same setup. I tend to drive like a republican around town but am Mad Max on the interstate so the mileage is about the same for city/hwy.

Two types of driving modes in my family: driving like a conservative (always obeying the law) or driving like you're out of cigarettes (I'll run over anything to get where I'm going). It is nothing political.
