I'm thinking more understated -- just a little "Jeep" lettering (in the appropriate Jeep font) on the lower right end of that panel? Maybe in letters about 1-1.5" tall?
Driving habits will make MUCH more of a difference in MPG than any trim level.
Overall, I'd give it a few thousand miles to break in, watch your speeds and start habits, and see where it ends up before getting too concerned.
You have to ask yourself why you would want the Diesel.
Certainly NOT to save money, either on purchase price or fuel. At current prices, the $4000 diesel cost's "break-even" point for most people will be well over 100,000 miles away. Any heavy towing in your future? For a DD in snow belt...
Due to the thickness of the ring gear, different size carriers (the TruTrack is a carrier) are sometimes required depending on which ratio gears are to be installed.
For example, in the old D44, there were 2 different size carriers -- all gears 3.73 and smaller used the smaller size carrier...
You can't order both the "Anti-Spin" option and "Max Tow" option because the Anti-spin is ALREADY INCLUDED with the MaxTow. So basically, the configurator is just preventing you from ordering the anti-spin TWICE.
From the online configurator for 2021 Gladiator Sport:
Selec-Trac (or Rock-Trac FT on the Rubicon) has 5 positions on the T-case shifter instead of the standard T-case's 4:
*2H (Two-Wheel Drive High Range)
*4H AUTO (Four-Wheel Drive Auto High Range) <-- This one is unique to the Full Time transfer cases
*4H PT (Four-Wheel Drive Part Time High...
I'm not sure about that.
CA *used* to have a special emissions sticker, calling out CA specifically -- not sure if this is still the case?
IF the CA sticker is there, and IF the car is currently registered in CA, I would think one could make a CA warranty claim.
I looked up coverage on the JL 2020 Diesel on the doc attached. I couldn't find the 2021 JT doc yet (that would have diesel info) but the coverage should be the same.
Emissions systems (like EGR/DEF) are also covered under a different warranty: The Federal Emissions Warranty, and it is required by Federal Law.
"The Design and Defect warranty covers repair of emission control or emission related parts which fail to function or function improperly because of a...
Because the automatic isn't like those of years gone by, where just the top gear was overdrive -- in our JT transmissions, both 7th and 8th gears are overdrives.
If you want no overdrive (1:1) in a JT, you need to manually shift down to 6th.
(in my older cars, "tow/haul" just kept the torque...
Cool!
Doesn't Edelbrock make a alum 4.0 head too? I was always thinking I'd try it on my TJ 4L when the time came, but with only 71k miles on the clock and my luck, that thing will run forever, and I'll never get to try it... :giggle:
For me, rather than the diesel, I wish they'd put the 4xe powertrain in the JT -- that hybrid powerplant would be perfect for my use -- electric for quick low-mile jaunts, the gas engine for everything else (long trips, and when I won't be near a charger). I don't really tow much, but prefer...
Pardon me, I'm not sure if you were implying that I was being 'false'? That I was asking for advice on how to lie, cheat, or steal to 'get away' with breaking the law? I usually try to avoid breaking laws -- thus the reason for my post. In my perfect world, laws that are not enforced would be...
Utah owners — how stringently is the “fenders must fully cover the tire” law enforced?
(I’m not living in Utah yet, but might be moving up to StG the foreseeable future)
Just looking at different offset wheels and I like the tire to stick out about 2 inches from the fender. Got me thinking...
