I tend to agree. People in general tend to have the attitude "If it was tough when I tried to join, it should be just as tough for everyone after me!" It takes foresight to actually see how such policies are self-centered and can hurt the hobby/sport overall.
I've been through the Technician...
Some tires have a 'rim protector' bump built into the sidewall, just above the bead mount surface.
If that "feature" is on the tire in the OP, then the tire being too wide for the rim width would show a profile like that.
edit: beat by ACAD!
No offense taken. I'm grateful for any education, as this is a brand new area for me and I have a LOT to learn. Achieving a Technician's license will be just the start of my learning, not the end! ;)
Just "ham" -- ok thanks. I'm new to the amateur radio world beyond CB, so I don't know all the vernacular.
I've had a CB but most people and orgs seem to be moving towards GMRS, I suppose because of its much more relaxed licensing vs ham.
Thanks again for the help. :like:
I'm studied up. Passed the ham Technician practice tests.
I'll take the real test as soon as its available to take online. Not going to spend my day driving out to a little 'official test room' just to sit for a 35 question test that will take me 15 mins. What is this -- the Dark Ages...
I like the idea of the ElementFire. I'll strongly consider going that route.
My only concern would be that, from their videos, it appears that to use the Elementfire, you have to be much closer to the fire than with a traditional, pressurized extinguisher, doesn't it? Looks like 2-3 feet away...
This looks really interesting -- thanks for posting it.

I would love a Mojave, but they are too new and too rare at this point -- it seems like the best deals are on the Rubicons.
I honestly wouldn't mind a Sport-S with MaxTow, but two of the items on my "must-have" list are the "Active Safety" and "Adaptive Cruise Control" packages, and those...
I can appreciate your thoughts, but the suggested emblem is really indistinct — I don’t think many people would even recognize it. And I doubt the Jeep marketing folks who developed the logo had “historically accurate” as acceptance criteria. ;)
To be successful, I would think a logo should...
Good to know -- thanks for all the feedback guys!
I'm getting the hard top option, which should help. I wonder if the optional hard top insulation would help as well? I was thinking about getting that installed anyways, to help with the heat here in Las Vegas.
If you are talking about the front frame 'tusks', I think that was the introduced on the JL, and just carried over to the JT. They are extremely substantial!
Hello All,
How is the BlueTooth/phone quality in the JT? At times, I have occasion to take meetings while I'm on the road, and in some cars, the combination of road and wind noise makes conducting a hands-free call a noisy affair for those on the other end of the call.
Definitely not a...
You would be well-served to broaden your outlook.
Consider:
* What if I want a mid-size truck with solid axles?
* What if I want a mid-size truck that can use up to 35" tires bone stock -- without thousands of dollars of lifts and warranty-killing mods?
Because I truly don't care about getting...
Just FYI -- The Mojave wheels have less offset than the Sport or Rubicon wheels, and thus will 'poke out' a little more.
Gladiator Sport/Rubicon: +44mm
Gladiator Mojave: +36mm
