I have all 3. Use Gaia the least. The ratings between OnX and Trails Offroad are definitely different at times. As mentioned - for charting a route or planning an adventure, OnX is probably better. For finding a review and walk thru of a well used trail, and having the concierge walk you...
Yeah, but it makes doing wheelies sooooo much easier. And funner. Good times!! Till the frame breaks. LOL
For the (good natured!!!!) OP - maybe have one of those "pass thru" signs / gatekeepers like Disneyland where if you can't fit between two closely spaced steel bars, you can't go on the...
"I went with the Clayton 2.5" Overland+ with Falcon SP2 3.3 adjustable shocks".
Same here. Extremely happy with it. It was a hard decision, and IMO, a choice well made.
I don't have the Aux switches in my Rubicon, and I didn't want a gangly big switch panel hanging around the already cramped cab - so I ended up with this. Super happy with it - and it didn't cost a small fortune like some of the controllers do. Looks OEM stock, is handy to reach, out of the...
My advice - keep researching, and wait until you are SURE. The hardest part about looking for a USED jeep is looking past all the crap lift components that people slap on, then let wear out, and then try to justify as "jeeps just drive like jeeps - they are supposed to drive bad".
I originally...
Exactly what I put on my Gladiator. Very happy with them. Did a bunch of gnarly rocky crap and sand with them yesterday and they performed well. Aired down to 20.
For the OP - after 35's and recalibrating the computer for wheel size, I didn't notice much in the way of mileage difference...
Sorry no help here.... :). But on the flip side, I'd give anything to get mine to STOP working. It's in the habit of starting the Jeep remotely in the middle of the night when I'm dead asleep..... LOL
I have essentially given up on our local dealer as well. Lots of RAM and now Jeep related BS from them. Happily paying for my oil changes and service from our local 4x4 shop. Thinking of cashing in the extended warranty.
IMO, the main reason is warranty or extended warranty with MOPAR saying that you will void your warranty with any other lift. Their lift doesn't even address all the "issues" it creates. I considered it, talked to the local dealership, and ended up with a Clayton lift instead.
Check with Jason or Chris @ Summit in Prescott. Standup 4x4 shop. Good guys. Honest, but not the cheapest. They will do you right though. 928.227.2026. Worth the drive up.
For me, the Rancho's (both front and rear) offered the best protection balanced with cost. They are super robust, install (and remove) easily, and have been everything I need - I just need protection, not build a rock crawler on a vehicle not designed for it.
Super happy with my Rock Hard Patriot's - the angled up version. Built like a tank - but I don't use them as "steps" as much as I thought I might. My wife does on the passenger side, but they seem a bit awkward to me for that application.
Thanks for the pics! Looks like a great trip. We were supposed to go last week of October, but ended up with Covid and had to cancel. Looking forward to a spring trip out there.
Labor quote seems about right. I think the 5 hours seems a bit low on the labor. I'd also look at their service and warranty aspect. Lifts are tricky and can need tweaking. My Clayton overland 2.5" cost a pretty penny and was worth it.
