For anyone with a NEWER style Starlink Mini - the above mentioned Tripod Adapter will not fit with the newer mount. The below options should work. I ordered both and will return one....
Ahhh...I see. So your bolt head stayed ABOVE the sport bar - not down inside. Right? After getting my fingers stuck down inside that thing and barely being able to extricate my hand that makes much more sense. LOL
Thanks for the great writeup @Moabite ! Much appreciated. One question on the mounting of the female ball to the sport bar - did you have to pull the top completely off the Gladiator to access the thru-hole in the sport bar from above?
I'm not seeing a way to get to things without removing...
Thanks. Wow. Dome in the snow must have been amazing!! Super cool views, especially with snow!!
Haha! Thanks Jack. Cheers,
Thanks Tom. More videos to come from the trip. I'll post em up when they are done. Takes awhile.....
Hi Gladiator Friends!
Recently got back from Moab a couple weeks ago and finished our first video from the awesome trails there. This video is a bit different than the average jeeping video. Hope you enjoy. Looking forward to getting back to Moab this fall. If you'd like more, please like...
Came in the back way to Gemini Bridges as the wife still wasn't sure about the shelf road. LOL. I've done Gemini many times, but never Bull Canyon. Not much out there about Bull Canyon, so we did a good portion of that before the day ran short. A few picsof those trails :
Down in Bull...
You think shifting into 4H is hard? Try 4Low. LOL. Seriously though, I sometimes have to shift it into 4L for my wife. It's hard until it starts to get broken in. Yours will get easier over time as you use it.
Clayton Overland + 2.5" on 35's. Perfect for me. I keep waiting to scrape the crap out of the underside, and aside from the hitch skid - it's not really happening yet. Just finished a week in Moab, and very, very minimal scraping. As mentioned, the Clayton nets out at a little over 3" with...
Kind of a surprise for me was the trails in Arches that we did. Had a lot of fun on these.
Tower Arch is a 4. My wife ended up driving all of it except for one tricky technical obstacle. She spotted the guy behind us though. LOL. I should have made her do it.....
Here's some pics. This...
Hey Guys - made it back home. Averaged 20.1 mpg on the highway with the lift and 35's. Happy with that! Going to work on the mechanicals next week after I recover. :)
But what I'm REALLY happy with is that my wife is in LOOOOOOVE with Moab. She might be mad at me for not taking her sooner...
Indeed. Every day is jaw dropping.
Encountering some clunks and suspension / steering noise that I never had before after yesterday's ride. Almost ended the trip early, but figured maybe I'm just not used to "jeep sounds". LOL
The life has 5k+ miles on it and a couple dozen trips, but...
Nice!! Was just there this morning. Ran it the opposite direction though. Breathtaking. We'll put up a video after we get a chance to sift thru a week of Moab video. LOL Great job!!
