Internet is jacked up at the hotel, and having a hard time accessing my iCloud account to upload pics, but.....
Did 2 trails today - Onion Creek both directions - 62 creek crossings that were a BLAST!!! (Hitting them hard. :)
And The southern entrance to Dome Plateau right after crossing the...
Heading out first thing in the morning for a week of wheeling in Moab with the Rubicon. :jk:
I've been there many times on two motorized wheels with the guys, and have ridden most all of the notable trails on dirt bikes, but this is the first time on 4 wheels.....AND....the first time with...
Getting ready for Moab!!! The last couple of days :
- Installed Rock Hard lower control arm and rear shock skids.
- Installed Carrier Bearing drop kit
- checked the underside and made sure everything is tight and ready to go
- Installed a Tyger T1 roll up tonneau cover
- washed and ceramic...
Yeah...I figured that out after reading this thread. LOL. Still, $60 is not bad, and the way my neck has been acting up right before my trip to Moab, I figure it was worth it. 👍
I just had the local shop go over the JT before my trip to Moab. I've had a Clayton Overland 2.5+ lift on for over a year. Initially the take was that I didn't need the carrier drop, but the tech this time said "short term you'll be OK, but long term you should install a carrier bearing drop...
Nice pics all!!! Headed up in 2 weeks. Looking forward to it. I've done it all on 2 wheels before. This will be the first time in Moab on 4 wheels..... :)
My very good local shop just told me that my pinion angle was not great. OK for short term, but not great for long term. Clayton 2.5 Overland plus lift here as well. They ordered a carrier bearing drop kit for the Gladiator. With Clayton 2.5, it's on the border. Any higher and you...
As mentioned - extended brake lines for the rear. I got away without it for my Clayton overland 2.5, but with the 3.5 you will probably need it.
Second, get a carrier bearing drop kit while you're at it. Initially I was told that at 2.5" I didn't need one. Well, the lift is significantly...
Understand the ladder thing. I broke my Calcaneus (heel) when a ladder collapsed when washing the Gladiator. Took the better part of 2 years to completely heal. I am wary of ladders now....
Here's the option we ended up with. Have not used it extensively yet, but it seems cool.... it...
Question re: mounting. Will it work with the Terraflex Uinta bed rail system?

Nice thoughts about how to fix it, but I've been down all those roads and come to the conclusion that my FOB is now demon possessed. Worse, it only happens in the middle of the night. Usually somewhere between 2-3AM. I have pulled the battery and keep it (along with battery) in a zip lock bag...
Guess it boils down to the local DT dealer. We had a situation where the police had to be called. I've shared it before, but I can tell it again if anyone's interested. It ended up costing DT close to $3k in wheels and tires because of their devious approach, underhanded lying and...
For ME - the Rubicon was a no brainer. Still happy with it, and would do it again. That said, if there was no rubicon available, I'd probably be OK with a Mojave.
If you can, try to think of it as an entire package / mod - tires, wheels, lift, steering, etc.. They really do all work together. Even if you don't do it ALL at once, thinking through all the options and how they will affect each other will keep you from backtracking and changing out things...
Yup. That's exactly what I'm saying. Multiple times that I know of. And ironically, usually in the middle of the night. Possibly because it's on my dresser at night, and that's closer to the garage than my office/studio. So.....dunno. Bottom line, I'd love to disable remote start from my...
AWESOME!!! With any luck you'll be like me and get your truck starting up at 3:00 in the morning in your garage.... Such an option!! (If I could disable mine I would....). Don't ever get your FOB wet.
Special thanks to @Dougstdig
Bought a GreenWi today on Amazon. They are down to $39 now!! Look forward to doing this as soon as it gets here. Whew!!! Just in time for my trip to Moab!!
Less spotting, more wheeling!!! Cheers...
