Vinegar helps break down those small mineral deposits a bit too. Just soak a paper towel, wipe it on, and let it sit for 10-15 minutes. It's not night and day, but it loosens the crap up enough to help whatever else you're using do the job better.
About a year and a half into ownership (14k miles), and it's still solidly "meh". I've done plenty of mods and upgrades, but most of it was fixing stuff I thought was wrong, nothing that ever really made me smile because I wanted it.
It's not the fault of the truck though; I'm just not the...
Hmm, I'm no suspension mechanic, but that sounds like it may be the issue. A longer LCA would push the lower part of your axle forward and essentially rotate your axle back a bit, making the lower spring mounting surface unparallel from the upper portion.
Excuse my masterful Paint skills, but...
Did you change out any of the control arms? The only time mine ever did anything like that was during a lift kit install when one of the UCAs was just completely not attached.
Yea I went through a similar thought process a while ago. I thought roll bars looked awesome, but...
I have nothing to mount on them
They make using a tonneau extremely difficult, if not impossible
They're expensive
They get in the way of the hardtop during removal
I'm all for cosmetic...
My wife and I went to check it out last night, and we figured out why the windshield survived. Because the aux battery was dying/dead, the wipers started moving on their own when we hooked the jump pack up to the truck. They stopped moving in basically a fully upright position (you can see in...
Yea, the manager has been 100% professional and apologetic about the whole thing. I could be a total ass to him, but what's the point? It's just going to worsen his day, and it's not going to make getting the hood fixed any easier.
Check your local Facebook Marketplace to get a better feel for a fair price. Rubicon takeoff suspensions hover around $500 where I am, but you might have better luck in your area.
I usually see the crates go for $100 as well. You can definitely make a few extra bucks if you sell them separately.
Brevity isn't my strong suit, so apologies in advance for the wall of text...
Over the past couple weeks, I've slowly been working on installing the AEV 2" spacer lift on my Mojave in my garage. (I work full time, so I really only had a couple hours here and there to work on it, hence the...
Awesome, that's exactly what I needed to hear. I used torque paint on the rear already, and I will definitely do so once I get this front end done as well.
Thanks a ton!
Hey all,
I'm at the final stages of installing my first ever lift kit (AEV 2" for Mojave w/ geo brackets), and I just want to make absolutely sure I do everything the right way. I've heard too many horror stories about people who didn't tighten suspension shit the right way...
1. I know the...
I'm still on my first one 18 months into ownership. Of course I'm sure a speck of dust will fall from the garage ceiling and shatter the SOB now that I'm typing this.
