  1. 2025 Gladiator radio antenna ???

To be fair, when I'm out off-roading, hunting, etc., I never play the radio. That's just for daily routines & traveling to/from destinations. Out in the outdoors, I want the windows down, and the radio off.
  2. Be honest — who else bought a Gladiator and said ‘I’ll keep it stock’… then immediately ordered parts? 😂

2020 JTR *almost* entirely stock. I sealed the rear window, put in proper aluminum brackets for the front windshield visors, added a relay to turn off the license plate lights while in reverse..... deleted the aux battery & pulled fuse 42 (IIRC). I think that's it. HOWEVER..... The stock...
  3. 2025 Gladiator radio antenna ???

What is Sirius? Once you create a music library and/or playlists on your phone (Amazon music, etc), you never go back.
  4. 392 Gladiator V8 Hemi confirmed by Jeep CEO!

In ~'85 I bought a '70 Javelin from a guy who was into drag racing. It had a "mildly built" (his words) 360, and IIRC 4.10 rear gearing. 5 point harness. LOL It topped out at ~130 mph but DAMN it got there fast. It was an absolute BLAST to drive & only got 8-10 mpg (the way I drove it...
  5. 392 Gladiator V8 Hemi confirmed by Jeep CEO!

Yeah, like the fact that it was going to break everything it was attached to. 🤣
  6. 2027-2028 RAM DAKOTA midsize pickup revealed!

My dad's '74 Honda Civic had ~52 hp in a 1.237 Liter engine (~21hp/half-liter). That thing ran for over 240,000 miles before the odometer quit working after ~12 yrs. We drove it for another 6 years after that. The only thing we ever did was gas, tires, brakes, and scheduled 3500 mile oil...
  7. 2027-2028 RAM DAKOTA midsize pickup revealed!

I can tell you there's no way I'm buying any gasoline engine stressed to those hp/displacement levels. 80+hp/half-liter.... no thank you. That's literally MORE THAN TWICE the output/stress of a 5.7L pushing 400 hp (~35/half-liter). Do I want 400 hp & 400 lb/ft of torque? Sure. Do I want it...
  8. 392 Gladiator V8 Hemi confirmed by Jeep CEO!

Eh. I have no idea what y'all are talking about. Mine has never been clunky. But... I don't leap in, and immediately throw it in drive after starting it up. I always give it a good 20-30 seconds of idle time before putting it in gear, and once in drive it shifts so smoothly you can't even...
  9. Manual buttons/controls below Uconnect screen intermittently lose power - 2020 Gladiator

Never noticed that issue with my 2020 JTR. There is usually a ~5-10sec delay immediately after startup before the AC fan kicks in, but that's all I've ever noticed.
  10. stellantis Poll v-8 gladiator

I voted no simply because of the price tag mentioned. Neither I nor most other buyers have any desire for a $100k Gladiator (or a $50k sport), but if we're already shelling out $60k, another $3k is not a deal breaker. Make the 5.7L a $3000-$4000 upgrade for whatever level of trim I want, and...
  11. 392 Gladiator V8 Hemi confirmed by Jeep CEO!

Duh. It's not the weight. It's the cost. I'll take a 5.7 for $70k over a 6.4 for 100k all day, every day.
  12. 392 Gladiator V8 Hemi confirmed by Jeep CEO!

IDGAF about some $100k+ truck, and neither do 95% of the other Gladiator buyers. Offer the basic 5.7 as an upgrade for ~$5k like they did with the Ram 1500 (actually it was LESS than a $5k upcharge with the Ram 1500) so we can tow shit without feeling under-powered and you'll sell the heck out...
  13. Bored with my JTR

Seriously, just get out and use the damn thing! Plan a trip or two and get some dirt on it!!
  14. What did you do WITH your Gladiator today?

    Spectacular!!! What mountain range/state?
  15. Thinking About Buying A Jeep Gladiator

Hotheadz head liners. Worth every penny IMO. One off the best mods you can make if you live in an area that ever gets either extremely hot or extremely cold. Better acoustics too. Here in Florida in the middle of the summer, a Jeep with zero insulation on the top is hard to cool down...
  16. That's Actually Not A Bad Deal - Dirt Road Cred / AMW 5.7 Gladiator

This more or less (I doubt the fuel mileage would ever be quite as good), but more importantly, the 3.6L (although a great little engine IMO) is pushing it's limits. It's stressed pretty close to it's maximum limitations and that's why when you add another 500-800 lbs of gear & supplies in the...
  17. Manual Transmission Owners, what MPG are you getting in 1st and 2nd gear?

Yep. That's the way it works. Going from zero to 50 is where you lose all your mpg's. Learn to coast out of gear to stop lights as much as possible when you have to. Also, side note... that MT isn't likely to out-mpg the 8 speed auto with it's higher overdrive ratio. Here are some tips...
  18. That's Actually Not A Bad Deal - Dirt Road Cred / AMW 5.7 Gladiator

500 lbs? Sure. 160 lbs? That's like having one teenager in the jeep with you. 🙄 With the upgraded suspension & power, you'd literally never notice it.
  19. My Two Jeeps. Let's See Yours

Left to right, Hers (2018 nicely optioned JKU sport) & Mine (*LOADED* 2020 JTR). Black was definitely not my 1st color choice here in Florida, but.... the price & options were right. Hers we bought new in 2018, mine is a 2020 bought in October 2023 with just under 29k miles on it. 55k on...
  20. New Stellantis CEO is Antonio Filosa, Former Head of Jeep

    🙁 3.6L, and "Power" in the same sentence. 🤣 I know, I know... it's "enough". 🙄
