Especially if you dig it out a little wider at the bottom than the top. Just angle the posthole diggers to the sides as you drive them down. Provides a VERY strong anchor that way. Just empty a couple bags of SackCrete into the hole with the anchor and water it.

If the ground is rocky (but not too rocky), you can dig it out with posthole diggers/shovel, then drop it in & cement it in place.
