  1. That very first NECESSARY mod

Seat Jackers. I think I went with 1.25" and it made a big difference in seat comfort (after I got used to it--at first, the difference seemed like I'd overdone it), upgrades to every speaker other than the subwoofer, gas struts for hood (maybe $80 on Amazon and well worth it), 67 Designs mount...
  2. First Post - What Upgrades for My New JT Rubicon

35 x 12.5 Nitto Ridge Grapplers fit just fine on a Rubicon with the stock wheels and no lift. No rubbing, and the spare will fit, too. I've been running them for 20,000 miles with zero issues. I did add a Tazer Mini immediately to tell the ECU and speedometer that the tire size had changed; this...
  3. Not upgrading due to 24 refresh?

I have tried two and both were busts for me because the USB stays "hot" with the vehicle off, making the wireless Car Play/Android Auto adapter always ready to connect. I'd be sitting in my living room trying to use WiFi on my phone and the damned thing would always auto-connect to the adapter...
  4. SpecGate is likely a SCAM now!

I ordered one in November and had it within a few days. They honored the freebies they had offered on this site and even changed the magnetic plate and the accessory tie down loops to red to match the trim on my Rubicon. I'm sorry to hear that you haven't had good service.
  5. Rear Seat Delete, finally!

They probably won't touch this with a borrowed 10-foot pole. The liability for getting it wrong could ruin them. I hope I'm wrong but don't think they will take on such a risk.
  6. Whelp...it's my turn...busted visor :-(

The visor brace kits work well and are cheap. Mine has been solid ever since I fixed it with an Amazon kit.
  7. Front Facing Trail Camera Shortcut?

I have an older model (2020), but my front-facing trail cam has been a docked icon on the bottom of the screen since the first day. It was a simple drag-and-drop operation to choose which shortcuts are always available. I know you have UConnect 5, but there must be something similar.
  8. 35's vs 37's?

I would agree with 37s on 4.10 gears being out of whack, and 37s on 3.73 gears being WAY out of whack, but my stock Rubi, which came with 4.10 gearing, does great on 35s--it shifts normally, staying in 8th on the highway, and offroading has been great, too.
  9. Any 2020 Gladiator Owners Still Here?

On the left side of the wheel, the arrow that points right. On the right, the cruise control cancel button. It works by tricking the vehicle into thinking the transmission temperature is spiking, so you'll see that shoot up, but it isn't actually happening. Go back to the indicator for coolant...
  10. Any 2020 Gladiator Owners Still Here?

The Tazer allows you to turn the radiator fan on its highest speed, and only its highest speed, simply by pressing two buttons on the steering wheel. There is no setting to change or configure; it's available by default. I use this feature frequently, as it will drop my running coolant temp from...
  11. New Product: SpecGate x FREE JGF Bonus Jimmies x FREE Shipping!

Ordered, but swapped the default gold magnetic plate that your link adds to the cart for the red one by deleting the gold and adding red manually. I sent you an email asking if you could also swap the gold "matador rings" in the free bundle for red ones. I try to match the red trim on my Rubicon...
  12. Exciting News! Stainless Steel Shifter Inserts Coming Soon – We Need Your Input!

How about one with a Jeep Gladiator on it, only more interesting than the graphic that's already on there. That, or a Gladiator helmet, like this one:
  13. DEAL OF A LIFETIME: Cascadia CVT tents nearly 90% off

I got the 72" in grey for $395 because it was all that was left. After the impulse buy, I now have to figure out if it can even be mounted to my Gladiator, LOL. Looks like I'll have to buy a bed rack tall enough to lift the overhang of this thing over the top of the roof of the cab. Any...
  14. Any 2020 Gladiator Owners Still Here?

Loaded 2020 Rubicon at 65K miles with minor modifications: 35s on stock rims (no issues), Tazer to correct tire size and a few other cool hacks (the forced radiator fan cools things down fast when the engine runs hot), all new speakers other than subwoofer, painted grill and headlight insert...
  15. New tranny at 45,000 miles. Wtf🙈

The transmission in my 2020 failed at 53K miles. Actually, I caught it just before it failed, but it would often not shift from 3rd to 4th gear and would only go into reverse sometimes, and with a loud "thunk." It was replaced free of charge, but the dealer had it for 35 days and would not...
  16. Front floor plugs?

The floor plugs in mine have come out a few times and I'm always surprised by how much road noise comes through that little opening.
  17. What gladiator model to buy

You do NOT want to tow a large boat or 5th wheel with a Gladiator, no matter what it's rated to tow. The power is merely adequate and the handling is primitive with no trailer. I can only imagine how lethargic and unruly it would be with a large trailer.
  18. 8 speed done at 22k

My transmission failed at 53K miles. It started with slamming into 4th to an extent that I would baby it trying to avoid that initial hard shift, after which it would shift between gears smoothly again. When it got to the point where it would not shift past 3rd at all sometimes without turning...
  19. Rough shifting. New transmission likely needed

Just got my 2020 back after 35 days in the shop. Transmission completely replaced under factory warranty at 53K miles for rough shifting into 4th gear and reverse. Waited 10 days for diagnosis, 12 for parts to arrive, and another 13 for them to get around to doing the work. Took a two-hour drive...
  20. Auto transmission not shifting intermittently

My 2020 is at the dealer for this issue at 54k miles. It slams into 4th and sometimes will not go into 4th at all, staying stuck in 3rd until I turn it off and try again. Then it started slamming hard into reverse, too. They have ordered a whole new transmission under warranty and are only...
